New Tribunes & Open DC Position

Today came the announcement from the Grand Master that both open Tribune positions (Forums and Recruitment) have been filled. I would like to congratulate Riverche and Solari for their new jobs within the DB.

Wait a second, did I just say Solari? Yes I did. Our venerable and strangely light side leaning Headmaster of the Shadow Academy has decided to resign his job as Headmaster of the Brotherhood to take up the mantle of Recruitment Tribune. Solari felt, as I feel, that it's a job that requires a massive amount of time and dedication, and I commend him for his willingness to step down from the Dark Council to take up the job. Bravo to you Solari.

What this also means is that a position on the Dark Council has been opened, and that the Grand Master is looking to fill it. Dark Council openings are a rare occurance these days, so be sure to read Muz's post in order to see what he's looking for. If any of you have any desire to apply to the position, and would like some help putting together a plan for your application, feel free to contact me (or any of the other former DCers around Tal) and we'll be happy to help in any way we can.

Reminder: Pictures Wanted!

As is probably to be expected from Solari, he wasted little to no time jumping into his new position. While he's still settling into it, he reinforced a previous news piece from SBM Hades putting the call out for photos of DBers out in the wild (otherwise known as the real world). So, if you and any of your friends ever get out and about and celebrate your greater nerddom in the world at large, share your photos!

ACC Beta Tournament & Fading Light Plug

I'd just like to update everyone on the current progress of the ACC Beta Tournament that is still ongoing. Two members of Taldryan have progressed through the quarter finals into the semi-finals. Full congratulations to Halcyon for his victory over Alaris (Tal on Tal violence.. what a waste) and Shadow for his flawless victory over Atty of Arcona. They both face stiff opposition in Verse Theris and Legorii. Good luck to all of the remaining participants in the next round, I'm looking forward to reading the battles!

This of course is an opportune time to remind you that the upcoming round of the Fading Light Epilogue Competition will be a tournament taking place within the Antei Combat Centre. A good chance to read up some previous ACC Battles is the aforementioned ACC Beta Tournament here and make special note of the judgements in completed battles.

Obviously, in order to be able to participate in the ACC Tournament you'll need to complete the ACC Fundamentals and ACC Qualifying Exams in the Shadow Academy.

The next round is provisionally slated to begin as early as the 25th of April, so time is quickly running out to get qualified!

The Fate of Revelation

As you all may or may not be aware, one of the other awards beyond Nova and Clusters of Ice for winning the first round of Fading Light was that the winning Clan would actually recieve and own Ferran's ancient blade Revelation. An added bonus for one lucky member of the winning team would be the ability to show Revelation on their dossier.

After careful deliberation between myself and Rian, and by carrying out a trial of skill we determined that the member of Taldryan who would recieve this honour is none other than Tarax Eosphorous Taldrya Kor

Artists Wanted

The Herald recently released her first report. In it she mentioned that she was looking for even more freelance artistic talent to help out with various projects in the Herald's Office, and not necessarily just to be on her staff. Contributions to the DB's DeviantArt group are also welcome.

Beyond the Herald's Office though, I too am looking for people to help out with some projects in and around Tal to help beautify some of our textually heavy wiki articles. If you're interested in helping out the DB, or Tal graphically, toss the Herald and me a line.

The Rollmaster's Corner

Anyways, biggest news? Our very own Aiden Dru has reached Dark Jedi Knight! Well done. You may not make me into a coat, or rug, or whatever. But please join me in congratulating him! Also, I guess Halc should get a little bit of praise for his mentorship. But not really, because Halc is green.

For everyone else, do all the things! Journeymen: if you have any questions about what's going on, or what you can be doing, let me know. For the rest of you, if you have any desire to become a Master to one of Tal's new people, let me know!

DB Wide Competitions

• Ice. In. Summer – Hosted by our very own Dark Jedi Knight Zoron! This is an NHL playoffs competition. It starts on the last day of the regular season (April 13). History will be made. PS: Go Habs!
• A Night at the DJB Casino – This is a Pazaak tournament hosted by Odan-Urr’s Defender Brain The Fist!
• Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? – Hosted by Arcona’s Kookimarissia Mimosa and Sarin – this is a character driven competition wherein your character wakes up in their own past. (Also fist sponsored so you get CIs)
• Beat The Bounty Hunter....... – Hosted by Brimstone. This fiction competition involves competing against another bounty hunter to capture a bounty hunter target.
• Rampaging Raiders – A Fist of the Brotherhood office sponsored Old Republic raiding competition!
• Monthly Mobile Gaming: Smash Hit – Another monthly installment of the Fist of the Brotherhood mobile gaming competitions.
• Diablo Monster Erradicator – A Fist of the Brotherhood sponsored competition - Kill as many hell spawn as you can by the end of the competition and you win the prize.
• Club Firsts: Diablo 3 Torment 6 DJB Group Malthael Kill – The first full group of DJB members to defeat Malthael (Act V End Game Boss) on Torment 6 Difficulty will all earn a Pendant of Blood.
• Club Firsts: Diablo 3 Torment 6 Solo Malthael Kill – A Pendant of Blood will be awarded to the first member to defeat Malthael (Act V End Game Boss) in a solo game on Torment 6 Difficulty in Diablo 3

Upcoming Fiction Comps!

Once again, there is a lack of RTFR in this report. Yeah, sorry about that. Generally I try to come up with those during my day at work, but of late, I've had to actually... well, work, while at work. So the RTFR has had to take a back seat. Something I am working on though is a few fiction competitions for Taldryan members concerning The Typhojem Massassi tribe, and specifically the events leading up to their association with Taldryan. I'm hoping everyone will find these competitions exciting, and I'll be releasing more details on them as soon as I complete the backstory stuff I need to supply you with.

Fair warning: You might want to spend some time reading up on the Massassi and Dromund Kaas.
