Taldryan Report #5.2: The Hunt for a Magistrate
Good evening everyone!
Just a fast small one here, that we are opening applications for the Second Magistrate to the Consul for Taldryan.
Attached here is the link to the Magistrate to the Consul Application, which will remain open either until August 25th, 2024 or at my own discretion should a candidate stand out among the rest.
Prior leadership experience is not necessary but is welcomed even if you have been a leader (or member of the Council) in the past. We have a lot of exciting things coming down the pipeline for later this year, and would be excited to have you as a part of it!
A full breakdown of the responsibilities for this particular Magistrate role can be found below:
General Summit Expectations/Duties:
- Clan Lore Development with Consul/Proconsul
- Clan Member Liason
- Conflict Mediation
- 65% Participation in DB-Wide Events (Vendetta/Pro Bowl/Etc.) and Clan-Wide Events (When not hosting yourself).
- Use opportunities to let members help with projects/events to gain non-site XP and benefit/grow themselves and keep track of these projects in an excel spreadsheet to be set up.
- Have a regular presence on Discord (#taldryan and #taldryan-senate in particular) to maintain high visibility with the Clan membership and club at large.
- Construct a list of goals for the Clan to accomplish within your position each month
- Bi-Weekly updates in the summit chat for Consul/Proconsul
- <24hr turn-around time on emails/messages
- Recruitment and Retention
M:CON (2nd Magistrate to the Consul)
- New Member Support (Master/Student Pairing, New Member Questions/Orientation and Integration)
- Maintain listing/available Masters/Students
- Assist members with Character/CS/Wiki Development
- Organize various small effort comps and work with CON/PCON to ensure there's always activities going on.
- Manage small-team and clan-level roleplaying activities alongside the Consul and Proconsul.
- Various additional projects of the Magistrate's choosing, based on individual skillset/things they like to do.
