Welcome to this week’s Clan Taldryan Rollmaster report! This week, Howie tells you about the progress of the Journeymen, tells you of his upcoming plans and what he has been up to, spams the competitions that are out there, and tells you what he ate this week.

Speaking of competitions – the Fading Light run-on is done, and I offer my congratulations to everyone that participated!

On a related note, the next phase of Fading Light is going to have an ACC component (well, unless Sarin’s suggestion that everyone get qualified was just a clever ploy) – so everyone that has not yet qualified for the ACC needs to do so.

Journeymen Progress

Here are some notable accomplishments of our clan's journeymen in the past week:

• Jedi Hunter Armags: 26 Clusters of Fire.

• Jedi Hunter Aiden Dru: A Crescent with Emerald Star, Quartz Star, and Topaz Star. Completion of the: Leadership Studies, History of the Sith Empire I, and Markdown 101 Shadow Academy Courses. Aiden Dru was also promoted from Sophomore (III) to Junior (IV) in the Shadow Academy Society.

NEW PLAN

So this week, I have focused my Rollmastering (yes, it is a word) efforts on pestering our Journeymen, as well as their masters. I am hoping to hear back from all of them by the end of the week. On the off chance I missed you – please, please get in touch with me. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and the sooner we get going – the better.

With that in mind, if anyone has an idea about improving the experience for Journeymen (or the Master/Student program for Taldryan) – feel free to drop me a line or talk to me on IRC. I may not always agree with your idea (or I may agree with it but I think it is impractical/unworkable, or what have you) – but I want everyone to know that their ideas will at least be heard.

As I have said every time - for those Taldryanites that are interested in becoming masters, please email me or catch me on IRC and I will add you to the list for the future.

Competition Round Up

As you all well know, I'm a big fan of pestering people to do all the things. With that in mind, here is a concise listing of all the competitions available to members of Taldryan, so go forth, do all the things!

GMRG Gorefest: March 2014 – This upcoming weekend is Gorefest, that means double Clusters of Fire for participants. If you're not a member of the Grand Master's Royal Guard, go complete the course here.

A Night at the DJB Casino – This is a Pazaak tournament hosted by Odan-Urr’s Defender Brain The Fist!

Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? – Hosted by Arcona’s Kookimarissia Mimosa and Sarin – this is a character driven competition wherein your character wakes up in their own past.

Madness?! Madness!! – This is a March Madness competition run by our very own Dark Jedi Knight Zoron. The bracket starts March 21st, and the seeds are released on March 16th – so you still have a couple of days to sign up!

Club Firsts: Diablo 3 Level 70 Character – This is a Fist of the Brotherhood hosted competition – first person to get a Diablo 3 character to level 70 wins a Pendant of Blood.

Club Firsts: Diablo 3 Torment 6 DJB Group Malthael Kill – The first full group of DJB members to defeat Malthael (Act V End Game Boss) on Torment 6 Difficulty will all earn a Pendant of Blood.

Club Firsts: Diablo 3 Torment 6 Solo Malthael Kill – A Pendant of Blood will be awarded to the first member to defeat Malthael (Act V End Game Boss) in a solo game on Torment 6 Difficulty in Diablo 3

PVP Master – A Fist of the Brotherhood office competition – member with the best PvP win to loss ratio wins!

Monthly Mobile Gaming: Basketball Mania – A Fist of the Brotherhood mobile gaming competition. All participants earn 5 Clusters of Fire.

Taldryan Gate Keeper Trials, March 2014 – Fight for the honour of being the commander of Taldryan’s Honour Guard!

Kaz and Mav's Crazy Graphics Extravaganza – Mav and Kazmir need graphics! Go make them some.

Create-an-NPC - Run by Combat Master/Dinaari Aedile Mav and Voice Sarin.

From Their Point of View – Run by Meleu Karthdo in Plagueis – this competition has you write up a description of your character from the perspective of an NPC.

Eat all the things?

Again, we come to an idea (I think?) from Chaos (if it wasn't - apologies in advance :P). He suggested I start spamming people with recipes of things I have made and eaten.

This pulled pork recipe is the best one I've found yet. It requires, you know, actual spices and not just barbeque sauce - but the flavour is so much better. It is also a slow cooker recipe (Aka: the lazy single man's best cooking friend). My one addition? Smoked paprika instead of regular paprika. Makes it so much better.
