To the warriors and faithful kin of the Clan of Life and Death:

Tarentum, your Clan calls upon you! Your Brotherhood calls upon you! The Great Jedi War is literally less than two weeks away. This is an exciting time in the Club. It has been a good stretch of time since our last GJW, and it is always an exciting event to be a part of!

GJW VI was an interesting time for Tarentum. Tarentum had been nearly devastated after the Split, and an amazing group of family brought the Clan back from a tragedy. I was Consul, and we had a dedicated, motivated group of leaders and a stout group of Clan members. We tore it up. In a War where the final scores at the top were in the 20K+ ranges, we were narrowly defeated by Taldryan by less than 600 points. I am not even remotely kidding when I say that we were only slightly nudged out of place. It’s like running that distance race, and the dude right behind you leans forward just enough to get ahead at the cross of the finish line. It was amazing, it was close, and it was absolutely one of the peak moments of my career in the Brotherhood.

Tarentum, we have an amazing group of leaders right now. They are talented people who are joined as family, brothers and friends. We are in a unique state of fraternal bonding that is peerless. This is perhaps one of the tightest groups in Tarentum’s history. Your talent, your skill and your dedication will win this War. I know I’m restating myself. I am not even remotely kidding when I say to you, we can win this. I want First Place. I can’t even describe how clearly I can feel it. Words can’t adequately express how bad I want this. I hope you all feel it, too. We’re going to win, Tarentum. It’ll take work, it’ll need dedication, and the best of attitudes. We have to unite in spirit. We need to be the cheerleaders for our Clan, but for the whole Club. In doing so, we will bring forth the best attitudes and have that focus that leads to championships.

This victory is ours. Let’s reach out and grab it. Be with me on this one, Tarentum.

We have an addition to our leadership family!

House Liath was turned over to the capable hands of Etah Kilij, in the guise of his NPC apprentice, Adrestia. Yes, Etah is the main character, but the fictional QUA of Liath is Adrestia. Keep that in mind. Serving your fantastic House as Aedile is Xolarin. They have begin working on some fiction for their own characters that will lead into the evolution of the House and the events on Eden. As I have been able to get to know Xolarin, since he’s joined us, I’ve spoken with him on several occasions, and been witness to his excitement at being a part of our leadership team. He’s excited to be here, but he’s absolutely thrilled to get to know each of you in Liath, and the rest of the Clan as a whole.

Additionally, we’re going to have a sort of tailgating/pre-game event for the GJW. It’s not going to be anything serious. Mostly, it’ll be small events run through Telegram, that will entail some trivia events for medals, drinking games, and other humorous Clan stuff to get everyone ready for the GJW. I need to get them submitted to the MAA office before I announce them. However, if you don’t have Telegram, get in touch with us, and we’ll help you get there. If you do, make sure you start hanging out in the Tarentum chat, and just be ready for some fun times. Some of these things will no doubt reward you with medals. Others, we may just play some random drinking games, and try to get people talking on Skype. It’s pretty amusing when there’s a good group. Maybe we’ll even try to get a random GM intoxicated with us. Wait and see.

Maybe we can even get some of our allied Clans and other friends involved. Arcona, Naga Sadow, Odan-Urr, Plagueis, Scholae Palatinae and Taldryan: are you guys interested in Telegram drinking games and such with your friends of Death?

There’s no fiction this time, but it will be added as a separate report once the GJW gets under way. Not only will I be competing in fiction events, but I will be scribing the events as they pertain to Tarentum, how we are affected, how we react, etc. I plan on setting the stage, and helping mold it from the front throughout the entirety of the war.

That being said, I want you all to know. Our leadership continues to have weekly meetings on Sundays, and the regular course of fiction is always a topic, but GJW fiction has been a huge thing that we have been working towards. I will be presenting more to the Clan’s email. Helpful tidbits, useful information for us all, and more. Look for the email to hit your inbox.

To Wrap It Up

I want to say, a Great Jedi War is certainly an event that requires stamina. In order to win this thing, I know it will require effort. I need you all to be here. I need everyone to submit to things. Do not waste time. Do not procrastinate. Submit early. Last minute entries can turn into missed opportunities.

I know you have school, work, family and more. I do, as well. We all do. This Club is about leisure and enjoyment, but this is one of those opportunities that you can earn a lot of rewards from, and an event that will literally hold the bonds of this Clan together for years to come. This is an opportunity for you to make your mark on the history of Tarentum, and the future of the Brotherhood. Please, participate. Have an enjoyable attitude. Cheer on your fellow friends and family in Tarentum. Cheer on the other Clans. We’re all here for friendship. We all want Tarentum to win, but we especially want to win with class, and with dignity. Participate in every event that you can. Play many matches in every game that you have. Go outside of your normal boundaries, and do as much as you can. If you do, it will surely pay off, and we will not only win this GJW, but I can assure you, we will follow through and win many more to come.

Tarentum is a Clan of skill. We are a band of brothers, and a true family. We are strong. Assertive. We are independent. And yet, beyond that, we are fiercely loyal. We can be an example of strength and pride for all members of the Brotherhood. Stand up, and follow me, dear friends and family.
