Darkness surrounds me
though I never shall fear it;
I am its master.
Think you can beat me at writing haiku (you probably can, I'm not particularly skilled at it). Bring it!
March 1st was an exciting day to be a Tarenti, as that marked the start of a two month Clan-wide event that will set up Tarentum fictionally for the next year. Beef has taken point on putting it together and I'm really excited to help grade these events - multiple fiction prompts, poetry (including the haiku one mentioned above), gaming, and even an ACC ladder. There's something for everyone in it, and I definitely encourage you all to take a gander and participate - over two months should give you plenty of time to put something together. The Summit has also begun discussions regarding goals and objective planning so that when we're fictionally in place at the end of the event we're also ready logistically to hop in there as well. Our goal is simple: for Tarentum to be the premier Clan in the Dark Brotherhood. We know we're capable, we just have to do the work to accomplish it.
In celebration of the Day of the Jac (albeit a few days late), the Grand Master awarded four deserving members of the Brotherhood medals for general asskickery and awesomeness. Three of the four were Tarenti: Oberst, Havok, and Pel. Pel and Oberst earned themselves Sapphire Blades while Havok was awarded an Amethyst Kukri. For those of you not aware, Sacrificial awards - the SB being the lowest of those - are incredibly difficult to earn. The fact that three of our Tarenti were awarded one by Sarin really showcases the hard work our members are doing across the board. I can't say enough how proud I am to know these three gentlemen.
As mentioned in my last report, Valhavoc - the long-serving and excellent FIST - has stepped down. His replacement is Cethgus Tiberius Entar, who's already hit the ground running. You should take a look at his report here if you're a gamer.
I know it's been a few weeks, but if you didn't read the most recent GM report you absolutely need to. Go and read it, or read it again if you would like a refresher. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere... ok, caught up (or refreshed)? There are a lot of important details in that report that will affect you - really, they affect all of us. If nothing else, make sure you're familiar with the change in timeline that's outlined in that report. There's a lot of interesting changes coming down the pipe that we need to be prepared for, and the Summit is confident we'll be poised to take them head on. However, that'll require all of us being on the same page.
As mentioned in the opening of my report, Beef has been his usual rockstar self and organized a two-month Clan-wide event with plenty of competitions to whet your appetite. I definitely recommend taking a look at the parent competition here and encourage you all to participate. Have an idea for another event you don't see in there but would like to? We'd love to hear from you and we've still got plenty of time to include it!
That's not the only Clan-wide competition, however: there's a Flash game run by Caesar available here that'll run until the 12th, a particularly interesting fiction competition run by Fremoc here that ends on the 14th, and a mobile game run by TheGeosh here. In addition to those comps, there's plenty of DJB-wide ones available that might catch your eye... go take a look!
Plenty of deserving medals and promotions came to Tarenti this past month (not just the SBs for Oberst and Pel or the AK for Havok). Congrats to:
I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting, blame my overstuffed gmail folder... :)
Alright, that's enough report for now. You all have competitions to go enter. Keep rocking the free world my friends. Tarentum Momentum!

First! Tarentum Momentum!
But if you mastered darkness, who masters you? :P
Go go Tarentum!
That's actually an easy question: My wife does, Atty. :P
Woot! Great report!
Go Tarentum! :D
That's a remarkably wise answer. :P
The wife masters him. A smart man accepts her rule. Life smiles when she does.
Bam! Haiku, muthahuggaz! I drop 'em like hotcakes.
Or, my favorite haiku of today:
Death is cerebral.
The Ghost Dragon haunts my dreams.
My hands bathed in blood.
