The Sword's Sheath - Itaana Belt - Yridia System
The newest Priest of the Krath Order, Farrin Xies, knelt on the cold metal floor of the chamber next to his friend and Master, Hades. The silence between the two men was deafening as the last glimpse of Darth Pravus flickered out from the holoterminal. A summons for both men to appear in the comms room by themselves by the Deputy Grand Master was not normally that unusual, but the events surrounding their expedition on Korriban and support of Arcona in the tripartite conflict that had followed - one in which they had not supported the faction led by Pravus, which was cause enough for concern to the two - had changed things.
Now that the events on Korriban had concluded, the illusive Star Chamber had finally deigned to act, and change was rippling throughout the various parts of Brotherhood-controlled space. Grand Master Muz Ashen, who had long been at the helm of their organization, had fallen and Darth Pravus had taken control. Perhaps in retribution for his support of the incumbent, Pravus had removed the Tarentum Quaestor, Scion Altera, from his position, leaving Hades and Farrin as the sole House leaders. To mix the bitter with the sweet, however, their new Grand Master had elevated Tarentum alongside its other independent House brethren back to the ranks of Clans. It had been a breathtaking announcement for numerous reasons from the Sith Lord, and it had taken all Farrin had to remain knelt in deference to their new leader.
Finally, however, both men rose from their one downed knee before they both dropped, as one, into chairs around the conference table in the room. "Scion..." Farrin mumbled in disbelief before the newly-minted Proconsul of Tarentum cut him off. "Has been in worse scrapes. Darth Pravus removed him from his position, he could have done much worse for backing Ashen." Seeing the wisdom in the statement, the Tarentum Rollmaster nodded. "What now?" he asked, finally looking up at his Master for the first time since the two men had entered to comms room.
"Summon the Hous- I mean, Clan, and I'll prepare the shuttle. Castle Tarentum awaits."
Y'know, since it's been a slow couple of months for the news here in the DJB, I think I'll just put up a cat gif and call it a day. Everyone fine with that?
Of course I jest. WOW, has it been a crazy couple of months! Since my last report, we've seen some incredible changes not only here in Tar but also in the wider DJB. We started the GJW on a really high note after our third place showing in the Fading Light Vendetta, and after the first half of the GJW where we were sitting also in 3rd I think the entire House started breaking out the champagne. Unfortunately, the other Houses and Clans redoubled their efforts in the back half of the competition and we didn't carry through like we needed to, tumbling in the rankings to come in last place. I won't belabor the point any further, this was embarrassing to everyone on the Summit. We had come into the GJW with high expectations for ourselves and we failed.
Now that I've cast a shadow over the rest of the report, let me move into the, y'know, actual report portion.
In this report, I'd like to shine the spotlight on someone who, at this rate, will no longer be a Journeyman by the time I write my next report: Garloaf. Ever since coming to us from the Rogues as a Protector, Garloaf has been slowly but steadily chipping away at his requirements, with his pace quickening since the new year. In fact, he was promoted to Jedi Hunter just a scant week after finishing off the requirements for Guardian. Garloaf is testament to the fact that hard work pays off, and I can't wait to see him get his 'saber!
You know how I've been saying for the past couple of reports I was hoping to get together the revamped Tarentum Master/Student Program? Well, I was finally able to do so. I hope to have it published to the Clan at large as soon as our new Consul is installed and approves it.
Don't forget to be reaching out to friends you have, either in other online communities or in the real world, that might be interested in the DJB. Everybody loves SW (or should), so use that as a stepping stone!

Sweet report!
The next few months are going to be hella exciting for Tarentum!
