Ladies and gents,

After a week of truly incredible applications and deliberation, I have selected DJM Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae as the newest Proconsul of Clan Tarentum. I'm not really sure I need to go into any depth introducing Beef because he's... well, he's Beef. Everyone should know him at this point. So instead, I want to take a second to discuss what my goal is now that we have a fully armed and operational Summit.

For too long, Tarentum has lived in the past and in its own isolated corner of the wider DJB. This nearly was our undoing since it directly led to our probation, and if it hadn't been for Raiju stepping up and pulling us (kicking and screaming, for some) into the rest of the world there wouldn't be a Tarentum at this point. However, we have one helluva history that we should be proud of. So, our task then is to figure out a way to honor our past while still moving forward, and most importantly moving forward as a valued and valuable member of the DJB as a whole.

Beef, to me, is someone who gets that desire of mine. And he's uniquely situated to help me achieve it, since he has been such a big part of so many aspects of our history. The old Tarentum wasn't perfect, by any stretch, and we cannot allow ourselves to get caught up in wistfully thinking it was. However, we can acknowledge our history and pull from it as we develop our new image and ideas. Going forward, that is what I hope you'll see from the Clan Summit and the Clan as a whole: an appreciation of our past as we work toward our future.
