Competition Results

I'd like to give some special attention to both the Fiction and Aliso Locations competition entries. There were a large number of entries for both of these events, and a lot of them were really, really good. Even though only the top three walk away with Crescents, those that just missed the those placements were also of very high quality. I think everyone should be proud of the work they put in across those events!

Overall Scores

So, with those competitions graded and input into our scoring sheet, we can see the following results:

As you can see, Team Odd has opened up a good lead on Team Even to the tune of 100 points. However, we're only a third of the way through this event and there are a lot of points on the table. The one thing that stands out is the fact that Team Even did very well on competition placements (5 of 8 first, 6 of 8 second, 4 of 8 third place finishes), but Team Odd is more than making up for that with a very good Get-Out-The-Entry effort and as a result is dominating on participation points. So, in the early going Odd has the lead, but will Even close the distance in Week Two?

On the individual front, it's another hard fought battle. The spread between 1st place and 10th place is only 20 points, so there's a lot of room for changes there in the last two rounds as well. It's also heartening for those of us in the Clan summit running this event to see that, so far, 6 of the top 10 are summit members. We know we like our summit members to pull their weight, but seeing everyone else making that kind of effort is really amazing.
