It has been a long time, no hear from the Tribune: Recruitment, but it is the high time to change this. Welcome to another report, which include some important news!
After discussions with Muz and Raken, the document regarding important matters related to recruitment and marketing has been released. It creates a general environment for people, who are willing to take up official recruitment efforts in cooperation with the recruitment team. Please, familiarize yourself with these rules and follow them. It is available at Wiki - http://wiki.darkjedibrotherhood.com/view/DB_Recruitment_Policies
We have started official DJB, which is available at http://djbanteiholonet.blogspot.com/
Yes, at the moment it lacks content, but do not be worried. We already have materials, which we will start posting in few days and more will come in the future. Also, an external blog may turn out to be a temporary solution.
I would like to welcome Sith Battlemaster Hades on the recruitment team. He has volunteered to help us with PR efforts and contacting owners of various websites, which deal with Star Wars, RPG, Sci-Fi and lifestyle. Thanks to his work, we shall get a bit of attention due to maintaining relationships with websites and communities, which allow us to reach wider publicity. I look forward to work with Hades!
I have decided to publish two business cards, which may utilized in various situations. There will be more cards created in near future, but I wanted to give you heads up before all of them are done. Both cards have been created by Kaira and I am very thankful for this. Ladies and gentlemen, do not waste your time and make use of the available cards!

As in each report, there is the time for small lesson of marketing, which may be useful for all of us. This month, we shall focus on the essence of Public Relations.
“Make them do your job.”
Public Relations are a kind of free marketing. You do not have to pay anyone to create and lead the marketing campaign. You just need to make sure that your actions, speeches and products attract attention of media. If they start speaking about you, people tend to get interested in who you are, what you are doing and who you are representing.
The primary requirement is to provide interesting stuff for media. Of course, you may start by reaching media on your own and passing few general materials about you. First of all, they need to be true. You may present yourself in an interesting way, but you cannot lie. It may be easily discovered and, if media decide to publicize the fact that you have lied to them, your image may be badly damaged. Certainly, there will be people still interested in your actions, but they will hardly ever willing to follow you. Later, if you are still interesting for media, they will try to learn more about you and publish materials, which will describe your actions and background.
Thus, Public Relations are important for our club. We do not have funds to launch a marketing campaign, but we may reach people by gaining popularity among bloggers, Youtuber personalities and media. If they decide to speak about us in a good manner, more and more people will become interested in joining our club.
It is not as easy as it may sound, but we aim to gain audience and we will use Public Relations to support our actions.
With the most important organizational tasks accomplished, we may start a real campaign. We will focus our efforts on providing recruitment content and spreading news about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. We will reach various bloggers and communities. Expect also more interesting news about Star Wars and more recruitment competitions in the next months.

Just a quick question.
Anything being used by the winning teams from the Crusade advertising events?
Good report ty
Not trying to be rude here, but what's the purpose of the blog? I did read it, but it's unclear to me why a blog is needed for that, as opposed to the forums, or some other tool we already have.
To tack onto Mav...
Will the blog, and DJB twitter account, feature a more coherent theme and voice? Currently, the official DJB twitter is incredibly disjointed and looks more like a personal twitter account than something used by a semi-quasi-neo-pseudo-demi-professional organization. Is there a plan in place to add more original content (the sabers were nice, maybe link to dossiers and schedule those out as they come in from...whichever office handles that stuff) and directed outreach via twitter and the blog? Something far less disjointed and much more directed would be ideal (seriously, way too many RTs and meme reposts) and could go a long way in growing interest.
Which of course then begs the question, why can't you use the front page as the blog? Is there content there that wouldn't best be suited for the main site? The only thing I can think of, off the cuff, that you could blog about and not put on the front page would be...Day in the life of APP Joe Schmoe. And, I can't imagine that would be a particularly riveting thing to read or come back to. "Day 27, I am still a Novice. ... Day 52, I clicked my first Oberst link. Never gain. ... Day 101, Now a JH, but clicked another link. Damnit. ..." I mean, if you think about it, whenever someone makes a report they're effectively making a blog post. And if I looked at reports that way back in the day, I may have been more likely to actually write them.
Brimstone: We will definitely implement some of the ideas included in the Crusade advertising event.
Mav and Oberst: Blogs are aimed to create a community. If successful, it makes us easier to recognize in the web and opens another communication between the club and potential members. Also, it is a good place for posting materials, which actually are not a news and would be too easily pushed down by regular news posts. Maybe in the future, if the website necessary options to separate internal club news from general content, posting things directly on the website will work. However, currently there is such option, so a separate blog is necessary. James is working on a solution, which may tie the blog to the domain, like it is with Wiki and forums.
Oberst: Blog posts will include materials, which are primarily designed for outsiders. This will include interviews with club leaders and members, fictional background and insider information about the club, like explaining the activities or providing more data on DJB units. Technically, most of them might be posted on the website, but they would get easily pushed down by reports and other news. Two or three days of being easily visible will work for such materials. It is content rather than technical matters, what convinced that the blog would be more suitable for them. There won't be any random posts on the blog, so there is no reason to be worried about it.
As far as the Twitter is concerned, it is a good idea to focus more on DJB content, but I am not sure, if we will have enough materials for twits. What is currently available on the DJB would work out for couple of weeks, so we need additional content to tweet about. However, we will refer more to DJB matters and content.
