Everything was quiet.

Too quiet.

Zig tapped her clawed fingernails against the smooth, polished desk. She glanced around the spartan office. It was different, of course, than the one she had first received the approval of her Captain, to be allowed to join despite not having true ties to Clan Arcona. He had accepted her, taken her in, and made her feel welcome.

But he was gone. One moment he was there and the other...he just wasn't. She had left Sera a message, but Zig figured that her friend was busy with her own issues on Selen. Zig chewed on her lip as she idly braided her hair. She made a whistling noise, then made "popping" noises with her mouth, sand-yellow eyes glancing around the Captain Office searching for...something.

It was too quiet. Engineers feared quiet, because it usually meant something that was supposed to be running...wasn't. And so, she sat, unsure of what to do.

She had thought it a joke, some kind of new holonet prank. But it was true. She was the Captain now.

This is fine...

Zig nearly leapt out of her seat with a hiss as the holoscreen to the right of the disk flickered to life. A familiar face filled it, and the gray-haired, bearded man looked much more like himself than he had in weeks previous. That was good, at least.

"Captain," the half-Hapan intoned stoically with a slight bow of his head.

"Er, yes, Captain...th-that's me! What can I do for you, uh, boss? Is it still boss?"

Marick flashed a flicker of a smile. "Details. However, it is your ship now, Zig. As we discussed, I will handle the...operations side of things. And the finances." His face actually showed a frown. He was starting to show more emotion recently, she realized, and still wasn't entirely sure to handle it.

It didn't help that an excited cry seemed to come from just off screen. Marick exhaled slowly as a tiny hand reached up and grabbed at his long hair and tugged with suprising might, jerking his head slightly forward. This seemed to change the cry for attention to an excited burble and giggle.

"One moment, little one," Marick whispered, eyes looking down at the small Hapa-luka-sephi infant set up in a child-vest mount she had helped design for him.

"As I was saying, I'm a bit occupied. So I'm going to count on your reports to be able to write my own. I also trust you to...see to the crew. You are better at that kind of thing. It's been...a while since anyone cared to follow me outside of a title. I would not want them to start now," his expression returned to the one she was more accustomed to: calm but impassive.

"I...won't let you down, boss-er, Marick."

The half-Hapan nodded once, then actually let out a strange grunt as Kirra Aarave Tyris seemingly grabbed at his beard hairs and tugged.

The feed cut out. Zig exhaled slowly. "Okay...time to...talk to people. I can do..this part. Yes."

Zig pushed herself up, and adjusted her variation on what she hoped was a Captain-esque uniform. She wore a black jumpsuit with purple trim, pressed neatly with pleated pants and a tight vest with an open collar. It was more or less her engineering uniform, just clean, more sleek looking, and what she hoped was professional. She had debated a hat, but thought against it. Around her neck, she wore a simple dark-colored choker, and she had spent extra time on her eyeliner.

She left the Captains quarters, and reminded herself that she was ready.

Hello, and welcome to my first report as the new Battleteam Leader for Voidbreaker. For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Wally and I am the human behind Marick Tyris Arconae’s dossier. You might also know me as the creator of Wyndell Tyris, and Zig Kaliska.

For the sake of fiction, as indicated above, Marick will operate the Leader of Battle Team Voidbreaker (on the dossier). Zig, however, will operate as the Captain of our teams ship: the Voidbreaker II.

I wanted to again thank Karran, and all the previous leader of Voidbreaker, for the work they put in to get us here. My goals are to continue on that path forward to having our own unique, fun sandbox we can enjoy and share with others.

A little bit about me, and how I got here: At the club level, most recently, I served as Voice for three years and authored multiple Great Jedi Wars, built out the existing guidelines for Character Sheet approvals. Before that, I was the Combat Master for three years and helped design, plan, and implement the current iteration of the Antei Combat Center.

At the Clan level, I have served previously as both Consul and Proconsul for Clan Arcona, was the first Quaestor for House Qel-Droma post re-clanning, and got my start actually as a Battleteam Leader with the late Oblivion Brigade (RIP). It seems that I’ve come full circle.

You may have heard of me.

Outside of the DB, I am the IT Manager for a mid-sized ad-tech company. Outside of my 9-5 schedule, my hope is to be a resource to the members of Voidbreaker BTL, as well as everyone in Clan Arcona. In this section, I will highlight some of the notable accomplishments of the members of Battle Team Voidbreaker.

In this section, I’ll take some time to talk about changes and updates that relate to the Voidbreaker Wiki, world building, and other shenanigans we are getting up to as a team.

Wiki Updates

I’m a big believer in using the Wiki as our world building sand box. I have experience building out systems for the Brotherhood, and hope I can share what I learned/know with the rest of you.

The Voidbreaker Wiki

To start off, I’m going to keep information on the Voidbreaker II, our custom Minstrel-class ship, on the same page as the Battle Team itself. This will avoid confusion, I think, and make the page a one-stop-shop for all things Voidbreaker. You can find the wiki here: Voidbreaker

Crew Roster updated

The crew roster features a headshot of the character, a link to their CS/Wiki page, their role on the ship, and a brief blurb. You can find it here on the wiki: Crew Roster

At the bottom, you will note the “Auxiliary Crew”. This is for members of the BT that don’t have/want a permanent role on the ship, but have full clearance to board/leave as they please and have use of all facilities and guest quarters!

If you would like to have your characters section added/updated/ ping me on Telegram or send over an email with what role you think fits them! This table can be updated as needed, so just let me know :).

Ship Facilities

Each facility on the ship has a stub that we will be looking to fill out in the weeks and months to come. These will be featured and used for Telegram RPs, but also provide good fictional grounding for us to use in general for events. You can check out the list of facilities here: Facilities

Crew Quarters

Each member of the crew is given their own room to customize.

Still new to the crew, Zuza's room isn't as decorated as she'd like it to be someday. Being constantly on the move from ship to ship led to there being little to decorate a room with. However, the bedding is galaxy coloured, and the walls are painted a deep green. Zu has managed to acquire herself a nice fluffy grey rug that is placed beside the bed. Knick-knacks from travelling sit on the shelves and desk, including a few scales, crystals, pretty rocks and a large canine tooth. The desk is the basic one that had been provided, although it already has a small dent in it from where she'd dropped a blaster on her first day on the crew. It is usually deftly hidden under all of her combat gear.

A few printed holo-photos are taped onto the wall behind the desk: one of her as a teenager and her father beside a dead Krayt Dragon, and a more recent one is of her dad pulling a face at the camera. The others that are up are just scenic, with few more photos tucked away in a drawer. Beside these, she has left the roll of tape stuck to the wall. Her refresher is also just left how she had received it, other than for a few mats to step onto when exiting the shower.

• The second half of the Deep Water Rising Clan Event is in full swing. Do the thing! If you have questions on how to do any of the events, now is a great time to learn/ask questions!

• Telaris “Mav” Cantor has finished his three-year term as Grand Master. For those that don’t get out much, this happens every three years per the Dark Covenant — aka the Brotherhoods rule book for member and leader conduct. While most of you probably don’t know Mav very well, he is very much the reason the club was able to scale and grow to what it is today. While there will no doubt some exciting changes going forward, I wanted to take a moment to recognize everything he did not just for the club, but for the fiction systems we’ve been enjoying.
• The new Grand Master is former Voice, Regent, and DGM: Evant Taelyan. You can check out his first report as Grand Master to see what he has planned for the future.
• DGM is open for applications. If you have any questions about the position, or what it might mean, feel free to let me know.
• Slagar has resigned as Herald, meaning that Evant will be looking for a new DCer to fill that role.
• Only about a week left in the SARLAC ACC event!. Make sure to cheer on your clannmates who are working hard, day in and day out, to try and set the bar for this event!

Ahem This is Zig, your illustrious new captain. In this segment of the report, I will share some of my findings based on tips submitted by the crew using the Net Submissions Feedback & Workforms — or NSFW’s as I like to call them.

Thank you for hopefully sitting through my first report as your new Battleteam Leader. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum as we move forward.
