Hello and greetings everyone. Welcome to my first report in a long time, and my first report EVER as a Battletteam Leader. This will be primarily an introductory report, and less big-DB news orientated for now.
What to expect in this report:

For those of you who do not know me, my nickname is Sid, and my character's name is Shaz'air Taldrya. I'm a newer Obelisk Primarch (I say newer because I'm still not used to the title =P), and have been in the DB for roughly 6 and a half years, with more than 5 of those years being spent directly in House Leadership within Taldryan, until I resigned from my last held position as Aedile of House Taldryan nearly 8 months ago.
I've served under some great leaders, I have had the honor of being in command of our now CONSUL Rian Aslar, and worked with him side-by-side the last time Taldryan was a Clan, right here in House Ektrosis! As I mentioned previously, this is my first time serving as a Battleteam Leader, and I am the most excited about this position than I ever have been about serving as RM, AED and QUA... or maybe it just feels more exciting now. =P
So, all things considered... I am happy to be back, and even more happy I have been given the opportunity to lead from the front lines once more! I will not let you fine folks down.
I enjoy Gaming where permitted, I LOVE small fiction events (ACC <3), and I particularly enjoy getting to know members of Taldryan and geeking out about our DB characters, even though I'm totally not a big SW buff.
Anyways, that's enough about me. As time goes on, you will all get to know me better, and I you! I greatly look forward to this coming to fruition, and the Wardens growing into something more special than it already is.

Okay, so the reason for the title of this report is the fact that I am indeed stealing from the greats, having fallen in love with Yack's weekly-titled reports. So, this week we will be delving into the basics, and I will be heavily relying on all of the hard work my superiors have done in their reports and the like.
Firstly, the big news on the table, of course, is Taldryan and Plageuis becoming Clans once more! Hip-hip-hurray! This has been a joint effort from all Taldryanites, so give yourselves a nice pat on the back, and give your neighbor a high-five please. More exciting things to come with this, but if you are still quite new to the DB, here's a brief interview with Mr. Warden of what this whole House and clan nonsense is about:
Sid: "Hey Mr. Warden, mind telling us what this whole deal with being a clan and not being a clan is about? Mr. Warden: "Since the beginning of time, there were Houses... And then those houses becameClans. And then all of those Clans became Houses. Then some of those Houses became Clans again, with Taldryan not being one of them... Until two days ago. Through a long and trying process, Taldryan's leaders helped forge a way for its members and leadership to be recognized as substantial and smart enough to become a Clan again. The Dark Council gave the Taldryan leadership some tests, and thy passed." Sid: "Wow, thanksvMr. warden! That sure is neat!"

Thirdly and lastly, the Dark Crusade is geared to start sometime this week! What does that mean? It means it is time to bat-down the hatches and start showing those scruffy-looking' nerd herders in the rest of the DB who the Wardens are! Can I count on my fellow brothers and sisters to be at the forefront of activity for Taldryan, and giving it our best?
I know I can. The utmost important thing to remember here folks... Is to just have fun. That's all I can ever ask of you, really, as it's what I ask of myself and is what we are all here for in the first place. Expect details from the House and Clan Summit in the near future with proper details in the events and on-goings of the dark crusade.

Lots of DB people got awards, but I'd like to focus primarily on our core-group of Wardens! So without further ado, I'd like to highlight the activities of the following members in particular:
Zorran: My first day on the job and this guy has FLOODED my inbox with Shadow Academy courses - all of which he passed, mind you - And I love it! His most notable feat today was earning his Dark Maven in Flight and becoming a member of the Grand Masters Royal Guard. Congrats!
Aiden: following along the same lines, Aiden managed a near-squeaky clean passage of the Dark Brotherhood Basics course. Well done, my good sir!
Xylnn: another feat for the Wardens in the Shadow Academy, Xylnn also passed the Dark Brotherhood Basics course. Woot!
Fantastic job, one and all. I am encouraged by your hard work and dedication. Your fellow Wardens salute you!

In closing, I'd like to highlight some things that we can expect to see in the upcoming month and ahead.
It is with great pleasure that I inform you all of the wishes of the Ekky House Summit (QUA/AED). Halc has informed me that the Wardens will be hosting open applications to it's members for the position of XO over the battleteam. This will be a position for those who are interested in leadership, and will serve as your first-step into leadership.
Those who are interested in becoming further engaged in Taldryan will have the opportunity to apply for this position in the near future. So keep your eyes open for the applications when they open formally. If you have any questions regarding this, my door is always open, or you can find any of the Taldryan Summit and bug them.
Next up on the bill: After the Dark Crusade is complete, myself along with the aid of my XO will be hosting a Wardens Exclusive Run-On event! This has been something that Quejo and myself had been brain storming about, and I am quite excited to start putting the planning of this into motion. I'll also be discussing rewards for this event with Halc and Quejo.
Since the Dark Crusade will be running, I will not be hosting any competitins for the Wardens until the Crusade is over. I'd love to hear any ideas that you might have for competitions that you'd like to see, or even run the competition yourself!
What I'd like to see come from this Battleteam is a tightly-knit brotherhood, where we can all flourish and conquer whatever goals we have as individual members, together as a unit. We are all here for each other, and that will be the staple of our existence.
