Just a short mid-month update here, where I’m trying to get some more slaves for the wiki mines.

Staff Openings

First, I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize the contributions of the two outgoing staffers Andrelious J. Mimosa-Inahj and Kalon Tsucyra Entar. Both of them provided excellent service to the staff and the Brotherhood at large, doing much of the work to help the Wiki (and the fictional reality it documents) along into the new, post-Force Awakens reality. They’ve both made outstanding contributions, and I thank them both for their continued efforts!

So, I come before you today to announce that there are two shiny, attractive spots on the Wiki Staff that are now open for applications. I like to provide continued opportunities for people to serve (and give back) and also get more wiki-knowledge out there. These positions are an excellent way to develop skills and a portfolio of work that look great as you move forward in the Brotherhood, and can help spruce up medal or promo recommendations when your Clan leaders get down to writing them.

Some of the duties I’ll be specifically tasking new staffers with include, but are not limited to:

• Patrolling recent changes for wiki formatting and content concerns
• Monitoring the Mainteinence reports and updating as required
• Assisting in updating the Categories system to reflect the new categorization model
• Creating article content to archive Brotherhood event information
• Assisting on the Legends project to help move old, Legends-based content to the Legends section
• Various long term projects

If you feel like joining the wiki staff is something you'd be interested in, applications will be open until Sunday, July 31st. Please send an email to me with the subject "Wiki Staff Application" and outline your experience and any examples of your work (either on our wiki or elsewhere). I would prefer that applicants have passed at least the Wiki Basics course if not Wiki Editing as well, but exceptions to that will be made for the right candidate. There is no minimum rank requirement, but familiarity with the Brotherhood and the Wiki is a plus.
