Wildcards

Introduction and News

Hello all! First please excuse this wall of text. We have just finished finalizing the names of the Battleteam, and therefore have no graphics. Fear not though, I promise my next will be chockful of said pretty things to look at. So as I stated, and I hope people have figured out by the top of the report, we have a name for our new team:

The Wildcards, or simply Wildcards.

The name summarizes who we are as a team. We are a group of smugglers, gamblers, mercenaries, etc. Just like a wild card in any card game, we can be a bit unexpected and work to weaken our antagonists. I'll go into detail below about what we envision the uses of the other Orders within the Battleteam.

Who we are, why we are here….

The Wildcards will perform quite a few fictional tasks within Hoth, COU, and to a lesser extent, the Lotus Resistance. Long has COU lore stated that we are hidden within the Kiast system due to interstellar gas clouds and other astronomical phenomena. Those who know the safe passages into the system are able to reach the main planets safely, and those who do not end up with their ships hurting. Part of the plan is for us to ferry new members, or members of the Resistance to Kiast for meetings without them knowing the safe routes.

Beyond that, the team will serve to procure weapons and technology for use by using black market brokering, smuggling, and other ne’er-do-well activities. The team will work to weaken the Iron Throne by sabotage, extortion, and if the plan calls for it, work alongside our sister team in Shan to take out targets of high value.

To be perfectly clear, you are NOT required to be a member of the Mercenary Order in order to join this Battleteam.

So we know the Mercenary aspect of the team, but let's look to see how Loyalists and Jedi can fall in. Keep in mind that this is a generalized concept, as I will be willing to work with members on their story and why they are in the Wildcards on a case-by-case basis. Loyalists are assigned to the team as a liaison to the COU military and work as handlers for the team to keep them focused on the task at hand. Jedi would serve as a bit of a voice of reason/conscience. Think Shepard Book in Firefly/Serenity. In this role, they would also serve as handlers for the Jedi Council. To ensure the task is completed with as little undue casualties as possible.

Open for Business

As of right now, we have a few members waiting for the new team to come up on the site. However, we are looking to add as many members that are seeking to join our merry band of misfits. Only two requirements:

Must be JM1 or above. Must participate in at least 3 competitions per month.

I know everyone has RL issues from time to time, so the three competition rule is flexible if you keep us informed/stay in contact. If you are interested, please fill out this form.

Closing

I'm looking forward to getting this team off the ground and seeing what they are capable of. Also if you have any ideas you would like to present for use in the team, don’t be afraid to reach out to me. I will take any valid idea that I think will fit the team well and try and work it in.
