Official Star Wars App
A new Official Star Wars app has just been announced by Disney. The app is currently available for iOS and Android.
The app has its own trailer showcasing some of the features that it will have. It will essentially be the main hub off all official Star Wars news and announcements. You can get notifications on any new updates and announcements (like new trailers). There also appears to be a number of other "cool" features for all of us Star Wars geeks, like being able to take a selfie that can make us appear in SW locations; play classic sound clips; wield a lightsaber; get SW-themed weather and a host of other SW-themed items.
There seems to be a lot of little items to play around with, and hopefully I'll have some time later today to try it out. Having direct access to official announcements will be great for many of us, and it does look like there will be a lot of fun little items that I'm sure people will be using very shortly and filling the interwebs with.
If you have already downloaded the app, let us know what you think of it! There should be a lot more features rolled out in time too.

The augmented reality part is pretty neat.
The Force Training game is pretty sweet. I heard a rumor there was going to be a mobile gaming competition created for it in a few hours...
It doesn't seem to be availble in the Netherlands (possible Europe) yet. I am installing it at the moment but don't know how it'll function. If it seems to work fine I'll upload it to my G-Drive and share a link.
Don't worry Cel... I use a Blackberry still.. apps that don't work are basically my life :P
It doesn't work for me either sadly, I can install it but it refuses to download crucial data as I'm not in the US. Could possibly work around it but can't be bothered. I guess it's waiting game time again.

Sick of geolocked crap like this. It is reviewing pretty poorly as well. Seems pretty buggy, at least on Android.
It might prove interesting to give a download. I can't say it would necessarily stay on my pc though.
