Several sites including IGN are reporting that Peter Mayhew has officially been cast to return to his role as Chewbacca. While there is still no official word about the return of our other beloved original cast members (although they have all mentioned it in some form), this is a good sign that the others should be coming back. After all, we can't have Chewie without Han!

Quick note: Many fears confirmed. This is supposed to take place in 35 ABY give or take. Chewie died in 25 ABY. Retcons piss me off.

Pretty sure lots of stuff got retconned for the prequels. I vaguely remember there was bitching in the 90s about it. It'll be okay, probably. :P
Any news about who will be composing the Music? You can't have Star Wars without John Williams.
John Williams said at a concert he expects to score, and Michael Giacchino (Abrams' go to composer) has stated in an interview that he hands down wants Williams to score, so I'm confident it'll be Williams.
