It's been a wild day when it comes to the rumour mill. Apparently Regal Cinemas has been handed the holy grail, and will be hosting the exclusive debut of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer this Friday. Unfortunately for them though, they may have jumped the gun on announcing it.
Thankfully though, that error seems to have forced (no pun, seriously) JJ Abrams' hand when it comes to the announcing of it. So while the "surprise" may be spoiled for some, we now know exactly what to expect this Friday.
The trailer will reportedly appear in front of every movie shown at these thirty locations:

Update No. 1: Looks like it's not just Regal in on it, but that AMC might be getting in on the action too.
Update No. 2: Turns out that the original release from Regal seems like a very strategically sounds move, as more and more major chains are announcing they will be joining in on the fun. Cinemark is going to get in on the fun too.
Update No. 3: And now we have full confirmation, including multiple theatre types and soem Canadian theatres (for Torontonians and Vancouverites). Oh, and this comes from StarWars.com so I think we can trust it :D

The United States is a big country, so it's nice of them to put it out there for everyone to see in all 9 cities that exist in the US.
Dang it, I was in Houston yesterday.
Road trip?
So happy I live in one of the best city's on earth. Anyone want to see it in Union Square with me? :P
(New York City, that is)
Now in 30 cities and 2 in Canada
Daedrik, I'm a trucker so I go all over USA

So, do University finals or go see the trailer....
:P
Bloody Americans (and to a lesser extent Canadians), I guess the rest of us will have to settle for waiting for it to leak.
Thank goodness. One only 10 minutes from my house. Guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.
I am personally intrigued as to whether the MouseĀ© goes all postal on Cam Vids via youtube. One would have to assume they paid/are being paid a redonkulous amount of money to be appearing in the coming attractions before every film at these locations. I think we can expect to see a solid HD release by Tuesday at the latest, but they may surprise us and post at the same time. Needless to say, I'll be doing my best to stay on top of it for everyone :D
WOOT for living an hour from Atlanta! The wife wasnt happy when I declared we were going to Atlanta on Saturday to watch a movie (trailer). :P
I may just drive out to Vancouver. Only about 10-12 hour drive with the time change. No biggy.
Or they might do what the did after phantom menace. After it showed in theater, entertainment tonight premiered it on national tv
Yacks and I will go watch it together.
By that I mean we'll be in the same theatre watching the same movie, but we'll sit on opposite ends of the room and not acknowledge each other's presence, as the Covenant demands. Should we cross paths, we will ignore each other to the fullest extent of our abilities. As is must.
As was decreed by the ancients.
I too shall join in on this non-meeting meeting. What movie shall we partake in as individuals? :P
Does this mean Halc will be stuck between Tarax and Yacks?
No...nonononono....no.
I can see it now........
Trailer will be going online Friday as well.
