After the lack of a new trailer at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year, many pundits around the web have been looking forward to this weekend. Specifically the annual D23 Expo which is going to be held in the Anaheim Convention Center from August 14th to 16th... yes the same Anaheim Convention Center that saw the amazing Star Wars Celebration Anaheim where we got our second trailer for The Force Awakens. Unfortunately, Abrams recently confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that there will be no trailer appearing at the Expo. In the interview he tells EW that "In the fall, there'll be a trailer," so at least we may not have to wait too, too much longer.alter
Thankfully though, on the tail of the news that we're not going to be getting a new trailer, or even a new behind the scenes, we are getting some new cool stuff. Mostly in the form of a new gallery of photos also courtesy of this week's Entertainment Weekly Magazine. While none of the photos are overly revealing, some of them do have a few details that an eagle eyed observer might pick up on.
Have a look for yourselves, and let us know what you picked up on!

Juicy. Very juicy.
I want to know, is that the SAME jacket from 30 years ago, or a replica.
WTF happened to ThreePO's arm!?!?
Ooooohhhh....Loving the Officer overcoat. drool
Is that a half animal/half droid?
Hmmm nice. Not feeling a lot of love for the jacket though, but that could just be me.
For what it's worth, I like the officer overcoat too. BTW, I kept trying to see if his boots matched the Sithy guy's boots... >.>
Hmm. Officer overcoat. New look for Andrel? ;)
Anyone else spot the AT-AT leg that it looks like Daisy Ridley is standing on with JJ Abrams?
Not until you pointed it out. That thing on the armored animal's head almost looks like part of an AT-ST cockpit, although it seems like it'd be too small for that.
I was trying to match the gloves of the officer and the sith guy...
Officer guy is General Hux who is being portrayed by Domnhall Gleeson. Kylo Ren is the Sith and being played by Adam Driver, so they're definitely two different people, but who knows if they're on the same side or not.
That thing on the animals head looks more like an AT-AR (All Terrain Advanced Raider).
It also mentions in the article, btw, that Kylo Ren is not his birth name, and that there's something called the Knights of Ren.
So awesome
about time Threepio got some blood on his hands
I might have liked the overcoat more, if he knew what sleeves were for. :P
I wonder if we'll find out about 3PO's arm in some media leading up the film. And cool spot for the ATAT leg!
Still no photos of Luke, leia, or the reason behind the charred vader helmet
Photo of Luke
Nice beard
Have ya noticed that sith lords mask apparently has a beak? I take it either Donald Duck or Scrooge has taken the reigns of the empire.
