From initial glance, Gehn stands tall among Ugnaughts at an impressive 1.8 meters in height, nearly the height of a regular human. He has peach colored skin with a full head of white hair which is neck length, with dark oil colored stains in it, and blue colored eyes. His body is slender appearing due to his low weight, but his muscles are very well toned and developed with broad shoulders.
His arms have scars running down them from numerous cuts, some older and darker and others newer and lighter.
If it has an electronic circuit, gears, or wiring and something is wrong with it, Gehn thinks he can fix it; everything from holopads, to lightsabers, to starships. To Gehn, even the most random assortment of scraps from a junkyard can be used to create something useful or fun. He has a knack for fixing things that are broken, and his confidence in this ability borders on arrogance, and if he fails to fix something, he is prone to fits of anger and annoyance along with excessive drinking.
Having always been around maintenance droids, R2 units, and more, Gehn feels at home around droids and is an extremely social individual with them even expressing emotions such as smiling and laughter. When he is around living beings however, because of the abusive past he faced from such beings, he remains almost purely stoic and emotionless; making some wonder if he even cares about anything, or anyone, but droids.
Gehn loves making sure everything he works with is at it's best. Nothing infuriates him more, however, than when a manufacturer puts a limiter on vehicles and ships they create when it can safely and efficiently operate at much higher limits, and will use his skills in slicing, crafting, and mechanics to create bypasses or overrides to these limiters. While the ship or vehicle will definitely operate more efficiently, it results in increased stress and load upon the components and the system itself, ultimately causing more work than would otherwise have been required when it's time for maintenance. This raises the question from pilots and operators if the additional efficiency is worth the extra maintenance and credit costs that come with it.
As an Ugnaught, Gehn is someone who always puts the requirements of duty and work above all else when there is still maintenance work to be done. This often manifesting itself in him shirking social gatherings and even sleep in favor of getting work that needs done, done. Due to his drive in making sure things get done, he is capable of working beyond what most could before reaching a point of exhaustion; getting tremendous amounts of mechanical work completed regardless of the difficulty in much quicker time than those on his maintenance crew. Because of this, the only times he is able to get away is when there is no more maintenance left to be completed, falls asleep while working on a project, or when ordered to do something different, which he will accept begrudgingly knowing the list will grow ever more without him.
Despite Gehn's dislike of close-quarters combat, when offered the chance to pilot a fighter he all but hops at the opportunity and will emphatically hop inside and join the fray. His skills as a pilot are almost unmatched, but his emphatic excitement towards this however can sometimes turn into a negative and place him in a combat trance, in that even when the battle is done he will continue to pursue enemy fighters with a murderous glean in his eyes as if it were a video game. Only with the full retreat of the enemy or a well-placed tractor beam from the Leviathan can break him from this trance state.
As a mechanic and a craftsman, Gehn loves fixing, modifying, and creating things, particularly when it comes to combat-based weaponry. In fact, it could be said that ensuring weapons are at their absolute peak and highest capabilities is something he takes absolute pride in. The reason? While he is capable of fighting if he has to from a ranged position, he would much rather let those who are bigger and faster than him handle the fighting for him to keep the enemy from getting close. So if he finds someone unarmed, he would just as quickly shove a weapon into their hands to make them help out and provide a layer of protection between him and the enemy. Because of this, he can sometimes be seen as a coward by those who do not know him.
