Appearance
A'lora Kituri looks as ferocious as she does beautiful. Encased in pure white flesh, the hollow protrusions of her montrals are shorter than average for her species. Framing fierce — yet attractive — features, her lekku are decorated in a mesmerizing pattern of blue stripes which extend to her montrals, forming dark cerulean caps at their summit. Lavender-skinned with white markings adorning a statuesque figure, her musculature is well-defined along her abdomen. She carries herself in a manner that tenses her muscles without the bearing that a soldier would exhibit while her gait is characterized with an exaggerated sway of the hips and long, deliberate strides.
Her face possesses savage-looking features, between prominent upper cheekbones and angular brows. Deep-set amber eyes constantly shadowed within their sockets stand out starkly against the white markings that frame them, combining at the forehead to form a permanent mask. Stained several shades darker than her skin, her thin lips are a deeper shade of violet than the rest of her face, curling around a harsh, guttural accent originating from her homeworld of Shili.
While selfless at heart, A'lora Kituri is a proponent of "survival of the fittest," which lends to her harsh training of students at the Jedi Praxeum. She believes that survival is core to the continuing presence of Jedi, and though her methods might be cruel, her intentions are kind. As the broken bones of countless students can attest, she has little patience for braggarts and jesters, whose challenges are often met with the butt-end of a quarterstaff. However, this hasn't deterred her colleagues — some of whom have taken to toeing the limits of her humour for their own amusement, or to the delight of onlookers. While the foreign nature of her jokes are often lost in translation, she does value humour as a tool for teaching at the expense of others, but does not take well to embarrassment.
Once a student under the tutelage of Shaak Ti's teachings as recorded in oral histories, tales and legends, A'lora Kituri formed a fragmented understanding of the Jedi Order and its values. Without a true Jedi instructor, her reliance on secondhand legends left out several of the Jedi Order's most basic instructions. Of those omissions from the Jedi Code, the histories she was taught from included no passages or examples of peace, focusing on the wartime deeds of Shaak Ti. Thus, A'lora has little understanding of the first set of rules in the Jedi Code and often surfaces anger while dealing with aggravating individuals or events.
A'lora Kituri relies on her Farsight to provide a clear path to follow, surrendering guidance to the will of the Force. These visions are not always correct, and certain details could affect the entire outcome of her blind devotion. Rather than thinking these visions through, she will act on them without reflection or recourse. Because of this, others have described some of her actions as "immoral" or "extremist."
Raised on the Togruta homeworld of Shili, A'lora Kituri follows a set of cultural beliefs that has made her spiritually connected with the organic environments around her. Her affinity with nature lends to her Survival in even the most extreme environments. Being so ingrained within these primitive beliefs and an instinctual need to survive, A'lora Kituri possesses several feral or ferocious traits in her personality. Lacking most of the subtle nuances and manners expected in formal occasions, societal "rules" are foreign to her understanding. Most would label her beliefs and cultural traits as "barbaric"—accusations that while harsh, are not far off the mark.
Seeking to sow misdirection to her benefit, A'lora Kituri will strive to befuddle the minds of her opponents, but not crush them. Using her power to create Illusions, A'lora Kituri will often contrive false duplicates of herself to serve as dopplegangers. In addition to this, she will use other underhanded tactics designed to confuse her opponents and might use Force Cloak in the heat of a battle to recuperate, escape or change her angle of approach. Where possible, A'lora Kituri will remain hidden and poised for the first strike, whether through her knowledge of the environment or other Force-related means.
Because of the exhaustive nature of these short-burst attacks, enemies able to sustain their endurance can outlast her assault, while those able to pierce through the illusions can prevent her from recuperating.
Seeking a direct advantage over would-be assassins, A'lora Kituri has discovered a new means of defense against Brotherhood agents. Forgoing traditional lightsaber designs in favour of a bulkier extendable hilt has allowed her to shift between a saberstaff and lightsaber pike with relative ease. Sacrificing one blade allows for an extended handle, which can be used as a fulcrum in launching acrobatic maneuvers. This tactic is often successful as an unforeseen attack, but an observant individual can turn the element of surprise back on its wielder.
Outside of lightsaber combat, her finesse with most staff-like weapons affords her the use of most blunt-ended quarterstaves and electrostaves. Lacking for physical strength, she relies on the momentum of her weapon to deal a sustainable amount of damage with each strike. Although her quarterstaff is often at her side as a walking stick, it has served in countless trials against combatants.
