Western March Phase 3: Conflict

Campaign #1

The Western March of Clan Odan-Urr:

The Vauzem Dominion wage a war of conquest and misinformation against the Quermians and Odanites alike.

The Breakdown:

Following the botched intercession and diplomatic measures provided by the Odanites, resulting in open warfare across the surface of Quermia, the Vauzem have changed tack as well. Whereas they initially attempted courtship with their previous foes, they have begun branding them as instigators and rebels, the true cause of the current conflict. Of note, Artemis Werd'la has been used as a point of propaganda, plastered on holo and plasma screens attacking a Vauzem diplomat carrying sensitive information meant to end the conflict.

O.U.S.C. Military Personnel have moved to combat the growing Vauzem influence on the ground, including the activation of CIS Droid Manufactories that had lain dormant since the Clone Wars, fired to life in an effort to redouble the dwindling Sephi Soldier's forces.

The Fiction:

"If I run away today, good people will die. If I stand and fight, some of them might live. Maybe not many, maybe not for long. Hey, you know, maybe there's no point in any of this at all, but it's the best I can do, so I'm going to do it. And I will stand here doing it till it kills me."
~The Twelfth Doctor

The Vauzem Dominion has long held onto the belief that theirs is the true reign to rule the Kiast system, and so too, it seems, the entirety of the Nilgaard Sector. Despite their best efforts, the O.U.S.C. and Jedi have both been put on their back foot by the underhanded measures the Vauzem have taken to paint them as the villain in this conflict, bringing to point the question of whether or not the extant faction of the Dominion was in fact communicating with those still in Kiast. Now, as the new day rises, the Jedi face continued aggression from their adversaries, both the Vauzem soldiers and their new droid army, as well as uncertainty from the very people they came to protect as the already insular Quermian people view the Odanites with the same mistrust they once viewed the Vauzem.

What may have once been settled through words and negotiations has now become a conflict across the entirety of the planet, with the very soul of Quermia and her people hanging in the balance. It's fallen to those serving the Vatali Empire to silence the Vauzem opposition and return peace to the once quiet and serene Quermian people's lives.
