The Dread Lord has decided Clan Plagueis needs resources and influence, but Plagueis is no longer a clan of conquering, pillaging, and ruling over planets and people. We control from the shadows, safe aboard the Anchorage while we watch over our assets across the galaxy.
As a strong step forward, the Dread Lord has decreed Hyperdyne Manufacturing to be our next prey. Hyperdyne specializes in starship parts manufacturing and is based in Lethra City on the planet Cadinth. The Houses of Plagueis have been placed in competition - whichever is first to gain complete control over the company will be granted favor and rewards. Will House Karness Muur manage to exert its subtle influence on Hyperdyne President Corvin Zexx? Or will house Ajunta Pall "retire" Zexx in favor of a more amiable replacement?
The challenge has been issued. You stand not only for Plagueis but your house. Do not return until Hyperdyne belongs to Plagueis.
"Sphere of Influence" will feature a variety of competitions from fiction, gaming, trivia, puzzles, graphics, and more! Competitions will release on a daily basis through two phases of the event, so check back for the latest competition.
Information on relevant NPC and locations can be found in a public Google Doc to be sent out to the clan upon the competition going live.
This is a house versus house feud where points will be awarded to the house as well as individually. Points per event will be given based on the following placement formula:
Points Awarded = 21 - Placement Position
This system means that the 1st Place member receives 20 points while the 6th Place member receives 15 points, both to their house and individually.
Participation is important, so a penalty of 5 points will be applied to members who subscribe to a competition but do not participate, so keep this in mind when subscribing. Many competitions are time-based and cannot be subscribed to until you are prepared to participate (trivia, word games, puzzles, for example).
Individual events will award crescents appropriate to their difficulty, with increased levels should participation be high enough. The Parent Competition will be given individual placements, with 2nd Level Crescents to the top three members.
Finally, the House with the most points will be considered the fictional winner of the Dread Lord’s challenge. That House will be granted fictional control over our future interest in Hyperdyne Manufacturing as well as the Dread Lord’s favor.
