According to the Clan Taldryan promotion guidelines, Jegora Fal has satisfied all of the requirements needed for advancement to the rank of Protector. Since joining the Brotherhood he has completed five (5) Shadow Academy exams, participated in two (2) competitions on the House- and DJB-wide levels, and has done all the usual newbie stuff (Tal.net & forum registration). Jegora has also filled out and had both his Character History and Character Sheet approved plus he filled out his Advancement Survey. Faeril has been an outstanding member of my summit. She has excelled in her positions from Battle Team leader up to Queastor. She always has a bright out look and strives to make this a fun place for the members she leads. She puts out regular reports, runs competitions and is on IRC and email daily talking to members and encouraging them. She herself has earned several crescents for competitions and has participated in every major and minor even whether clan wide or DB wide since joining. She always leads by example and has done a fabulous job. She continues to strive to better her house and clan and it is for this reason I am recommending her to be promoted in the Equite ranks as a Sith Warrior. She participates regularly in competitions, runs her own competitions, and has made significant fictional contributions to both Houses. As well, since her last promotion: 3 CrS, 2 CrE, a CrQ, AC, DC, and an SoL. She has also passed 5 additional SA courses in that time. She has also earned 2 Dark Maven degrees since her last promotion in the areas of service and writing. As far as working with her as my QUA, I find her to be attentive to the needs of the members, motivated, compassionate, and to offer creative solutions to difficult situations. We had a bit of a lull in HLK before she stepped in, and her fine efforts have picked the ball back up, so to speak. In my humble opinion, she deserves to be an Equite. He is always approachable and accessible to our membership and constantly reaches out to those around him. When Al took hold of the reigns as AED, he took me under his wing. I consider him my unofficial master. If I ever need help with anything, whether it relate to the Battleteam or not, he's there to give me his suggestion. I can honestly say that Alex is one of the best people I've met so far in my Brotherhood career. Not only does he help me, he helps every individual member of the house. I appreciate all that he does for me, and for the house in general. I know he has big plans for us, and I'd like to motivate him to stay with it, as we can be lazy at times. Alex d'Tana gave me the first major leadership opportunity in the Dark Brotherhood when he appointed me to be his Aedile of House Satal Keto. Under his guidance, I have learned not only the basics of leadership, but even the most subtle and detailed aspects. Thanks to his understanding of what drives individuals, and how to introduce activity in a new way, he has helped me achieve confidence in myself. Before I became Aedile, I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle being a Quaestor, but after two months of working with Alex, I now know that I would be.

As one of the longest serving Krath Epis' in the Dark Brotherhood to this day, he has driven House Satal Keto in new ways. He gives timely reports, which compliment and support mine; he is always there to give advice; and has provided us all with a laugh whenever he can. He went out of his way, travelling 2 hours, to join me in a Summit meeting in a Tim Horton's in Toronto where we got more House work done than we ever could have on IRC or e-mail. We went out of our way to discuss the future of the House, both in the way of Leadership and House Direction. This included who would take either of our spots if we left for bigger things or other reasons, establishing a new system of "Officer-on-Duty," a system that I believe should be initiated DB-wide, and developing simple ideas for the next few weeks.

Serving 6 Years and 7 Months as Epis, he is more than ready, and more than qualified, to receive a promotion to Pontifex and take one step closer to joining the Elder ranks here in the Dark Brotherhood. Congratulations, Alex, you deserve it.

Elevation to the Rank of Equite Four is demanding. It is the pinnacle of the 'middle ranks' and upon ascending to it one immediately begins their resume for entrance into the Elder ranks. It demands both personal participation and leadership across a wide spectrum of positions that influences a wide range of individuals; helping them better themselves for the future of the club.

Alex has collected ten crescents (2 Cr-A, 3 Cr-S, Cr-E, 2 Cr-Q, 2 Cr-T), a Seal of Alliances, a Seal of Pain, five Dark Crosses, two Anteian Crosses and a Seal of Loyalty. Additionally, he has participated in several Independence Games events; leading his newly growing House by example. At first glance - from submissions he passed along to me - it looks like he will collect at least five Seals from this recent event. And, at first glance, it appears his House, Satal Keto, led the reemerging Clan Plagueis in the Brotherhood-wide Event.

As a Leader, Alex has served in a multitude of positions since his last elevation in 2001. He has served as a Tetrarch, Roll Master, Aedile, Quaestor (three times) and Consul (Naga Sadow). During those stints he provided competitions for his members directly or helped assist in various house and clan level competitions. He was also held accountable to his members through various reports that relayed pertinent developments and progression of his unit. But what we do not see is, in my mind, what takes precedent. Alex e-mails each new member (be it new or a rejoining Rogue) in an attempt to know them and discern their goals with the club, he provides regular communication with his leadership team to direct traffic and unlock the power of his members, he contributes with both junior and superior leaders to create unique, innovative competitions and experiences within the Clan and guides his unit with a steady hand. In short, he does the little things that cannot be taught, but that we expect from our highest echelon of talent in the Brotherhood.

He is a role model for my young recruits, provides innovative designs for future development, is quick to respond or provide feedback and has the interest of his members always close to heart. In short, he has earned the stripes necessary for advancement to the top of his tier. It is time for Alex d'Tana to begin looking toward the future: to growing the brotherhood and providing leadership to her young members... tasks he will complete on the path to Dark Adept.
