Centam is a beacon of activity within Taldryan. It amazes me that nothing seems to slow him down. He enjoys being active in the club, and even after a Great Jedi War of all things, he refuses to slow down his momentum.

Since his last promotion, Centam has participated in 31 competitions, many of which were from the recent GJW where Centam was one of Taldryan's biggest contributors, bringing in two Gold Nova in his first vendetta! From those competitions, he has earned the following awards;

Gold Nova x2 Crescent with Diamond Star x3 Crescent with Ruby Star x1 Crescent with Amethyst Star x5 Crescent with Sapphire Star x2 Crescent with Emerald Star x1 Crescent with Quartz Star x1

Centam is also a regular at the Shadow Academy, having completed 8 SA courses and earning 1 degree.

The promotion from a Journeyman to an Equite is a big leap for a member in the club. It is a sign that the member in question is committed to being an active and engaged member within our little corner of the Internet. I believe Centam encompasses the qualities of an Equite.

Some members lead by signing up or taking a position in Clan Summit or working as a staffer for a DCer, but others find different ways to make their presence known. While Techie (currently playing Eilen Ru’tyari) has not served on the summit or in a staff position, he leads in a way that benefits Clan Arcona, and therefore the DJB, in a much more impactful way: he recruits and retains members. This is bluntly visible on paper thanks to his 2 Scrolls of the Master for mentoring Doon Sulvir and Meyrath Rizara to JM4. But what is not seen on paper is that he could have easily had a third or fourth in recent JM4s Druzk Zornosz and Mex, all of whom were recruited to the club by Techie and stayed thanks to his willingness to walk them through every step, hop in voice chat, or talk them through the introductory steps of the club's onboarding. Techie could have tried to be selfish and handle all four on his own, but his savvy and awareness of what draws people to the club and the clan allowed him to delegate his recruits to the right mentor (based on time zone, schedule, and personality), which paid dividends for the success of our most recent class of Journeyman completing their trials. This level of adding growth to Arcona and the DJB has a revitalizing effect on everyone, including old jaded bones like myself.

Statistically speaking, Techie has been a powerhouse across a wide spectrum of activities. He’s participated in 64 competitions while nabbing 18 Crescents with various stars. During the last RoS, Techie stepped up by earning 15 Seals of Enmity and took home 4 Gold Novae and 1 Silver. In Great Jedi XV, he added another Silver Nova for his contributions to the Clan Run-On, and made sure to get 100% bin participation with his 12 entries. He also added on two 4th place placements as well!

Over the last two years as an Equite 2, and having accrued two Anteian Crosses already, Techie has gathered 267 Clusters of Fire, 88 Clusters of Ice, 6 Clusters of Earth, 33 Clusters of Graphite, earned 465,300 credits for the Clan and has clicky-clack’d 37,323 words of fiction between RPs and Fiction Competitions.

Arcona would not be the same Clan without Techie’s presence. For this, and all he’s helped bring to the table with an infusion of new recruits and his own personal efforts, I’m honored to see him elevated to the rank of Equite 3.

Eilen/Techie/Sully goes by many names, but all of them resonate with the same warmness that is quintessentially Arconan. Like the space ferret he is, Techie has found his niche and resides within it aplomb. When prompted or tempted to spurs of activity, the frenzied results are terrifying and magnificent to behold, and in the calms between he is a continued delight both within the fictional realm and most importantly in our shared cyberspace.

A true and dependable member, I honestly could not imagine Qel-Droma without at least one of our resident space ferrets to call upon, and as recognition for his dependable service and continued awesomeness, I am happy to support this well-earned promotion to EQ3.

Over the past 15 months since his last elevation, Aru has been a super-charged firecracker of activity and leadership. Part of his activity, combined with his work as M:HM for 9 of those months, and his simultaneous work as Aedile for 8 of those months, has already been documented by his Sapphire Blade award.

Since earning that Sapphire Blade, however, Aru has still been a beacon of activity, organizing 15 competitions while participating in 85 (out of 30/169 total, respectively, since his last promotion). He’s earned 21 Crescents with varying stars over the course of these efforts, and has tallied 19 Clusters of Fire, 65 Clusters of Ice, 4 Clusters of Earth, and a whopping 106 clusters of graphite, and 28 Seals of Enmity from the last RoS.

In Great Jedi War XV, Aru’s 25 entries qualified him for 100% participation, but showed that he was willing to lead by example in terms of sharing a “do all the things” energy and motivation that helped spur Arcona (and Voidbreaker Battleteam) to a record number and event-leading participation ratio.

Aru’s personality is passionate and driven, and while there can be some bumps in the road, he continues to always show up when it matters and demonstrates a can-do attitude that I believe points towards what we look for in the later ranks of the Equites.

So for all his hard work and perseverance, I am honored to see Aru elevated to the rank of Equite 3. Great work Aru, and we love having you on the team.

Aru's merits, and they are numerous, for his service as Aedile have already been recounted in the reasons for his Sapphire Blade. However, I feel it is worth pointing out the importance of character when obtaining higher ranks. As the member grows and matures, they will often take on a position of seniority, if not mild authority as well, as younger Journeymen look up to these elder geezers to see what the Club is all about.

When I consider people whom I'd like the newer recruits to see as an example of a 'senior' member of the Club, I cannot think of anyone better than Aru. He exemplifies qualities which I find are quintessential for the club's continued health and should thus be lauded. He's hard working, shown by his extravagant numbers, he's loyal and dependable, and he has a moral character which he does not compromise on. In our ceaseless quest to improve and maintain the experience of the DJB, having such members who're willing and ready to speak up and also do the work is invaluable and I am more than happy to support this promotion to the 'seniors' of this club. (Elder promotion pending.)

It’s not often that newly minted JM4’s are thrown into the chaos of a Great Jedi War (XV), but over the course of the 2-month long club-wide event, Mex (Sentinel) was the very model of efficiency. His 12 entries across the event gave him 100% participation credit by hitting every bin, and he was a big part of the Clan’s Silver-nova-winning Run-On where he put up quality posts that got him out of his comfort zone with writing other characters. He in turn helped by proof reading other posts and entries to make the overall product better and to create a better experience for his teammates. He also netted a 7th palace placement for his gaming efforts.

Outside of the War itself, in the 3 months since his elevation to the final stage of the Journeyman ranks, Mex accumulated a total of 38 competitions, 9 of which earned crescents with a star, 87 Clusters of Fire, 12 Clusters of Ice, 19 Clusters of Earth, 6 Clusters of Graphite, 5,202 words of fiction and earned 193,300 credits for the Clan!

And now, I’m honored to see him into the next step of his career by welcoming him into the first rank of the Equites. Keep up the great work, Mex, we love having you in Voidbreaker and Clan Arcona.

Mex is everything that embodies enthusiasm in the DJB. Or if not, then pretty fricking close to it!

It has been a frankly dizzying ride from the humble Novitiate ranks to his Knighting and during the GJW he's been an absolute blitz of activity and creativity. I have been particularly impressed by his genuine commitment to both the concept of the GJW, as well as its spirit, wishing well to all participants and hoping for the closest of results. A true sportsman in that regard, and a mentality I think the more jaded among us calcified veterans ought to rekindle from time to time.

For all his hard work and dedication to House and Clan, I am proud and support this important transition from Journeyman to Equite and I'll be looking forward to your career with great interest.
