Over the last year plus, Maré Littus, better known as Celahir, has been a paragon of his kind, an asset to our Brotherhood in multiple levels of leadership and a participant and contributor both. In the sixteen months since his last promotion, Celahir has organized 50 competitions, coorganized 20, and participated in a whooping total of 234, placing in 74 of them and earning himself 4 Crescents with Diamond Stars, 7 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 17 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 25 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 20 Crescents with Emerald Stars, and 1 Crescent with Topaz Star. Celahir has been an incredibly active member in both fiction and - especially, to say the least - gaming, completing 101 PvP Matches, 311 PvE Activities, and 5 Fiction Activities for 2723 words, all of which garnered him 7 Pendants of Blood, 4423 Clusters of Fire, 5 Clusters of Ice, 1130 Clusters of Earth. Additionally, he's been active in learning and bettering himself as well as bettering his Clan and Brotherhood, passing 13 Shadow Academy courses and earning 1 Dark Side Scroll, 1 Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting, Magness Dritch (Maaks), now an Equite II, 12 Scrolls of Foundation, 3 Legions of the Scholar, and 2 Seals of Loyalty for service to Brotherhood and on the recommendation of the Fist. In addition to all this, since he was last promoted, Celahir has earned 2 Grand Crosses 3 Anteian Crosses, and 1 Dark Cross. These were, respectively, awarded for exemplary activity and for service to House and Clan as a Battleteam leader, for keeping the Fist staff running during a transition period between Fists, and for the research and creation of Fist-sponsored wiki pages.

Besides stellar personal activity, Celahir has also been a leader and advisor for many years, and has continued that pattern since he was last promoted. With a total of eight months of Clan leadership — 5 months as Battleteam Leader, 3 months as Quaestor — as well as 6 more months as Magistrate to the Fist and over a year as a Shadow Academy Docent, during which time he has graded 95 courses and posted 3 news posts, the man's impact in giving back to our club can't be understated. Other department heads will review, more specifically, his contributions in each of these positions, but it is my honor to say that Celahir has long been an invaluable member of the Arconan summit. His work as Battleteam Leader of Soulfire and Quaestor to Qel-Droma was always steadfast as needed, including timely reports and awarding, assistance in running and creating events, participation in summit discussion, and team development.

For all this, for his constant contributions and constant loyalty and service, we thank him. Congratulations, Irfan. You've worked hard for this, and you've well earned it. Welcome to the ranks of Equite IV.

Additional reasons

Celahir has been and remains one of our members to which I find myself looking to for guidance in both his wisdom and experience in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. His personal activity speaks for itself and is touched on in more detail within Atyiru’s recommendation. I would like to touch on the other aspects of his leadership as an Arconae. Throughout the last year he has weighed in either publically or privately on every topic within the Arconan Summit, on multiple occasions going so far as to offer alternatives to our current tools and resources, designing a number of spreadsheets and trackers that I use to this day.

He has also been indispensible in driving Arcona to the activity we at times take for granted, willing to game and organize others to play together. He leads the way along with a few others who will make the efforts to encourage others to activity and participation.

For everything you do, It is a pleasure to see you rise to a new height.

Uji Tameike

Proconsul of Arcona

Eminent Ikarri Itinen, 2017-03-20 03:22:22 UTC

It’s hard to precisely define Irfan’s contributions as a member. Is it his competition organization (50 since his last promotion)? His activity (234 competitions participated in, 74 placing)? His leadership, first as Battleteam leader and then Quaestor of Qel-Droma? His consistently useful advice to the Arconan Summit? I don’t know.

What I do know is that Maré, or Celahir, has been amazingly, gobsmackingly active over the past year and a half, and managed to be a valued contributor to the atmosphere and culture of our Clan even while doing more as a member than almost anyone else. I know that he’s a pleasure to have around. I know that he’s almost always got something useful to say. And I know that he more than deserves this promotion to the Summit of the Equite ranks.

Congratulations, Irfie. <3

-Timeros, Rollmaster Arcona

Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae, 2017-03-20 03:22:56 UTC

Maré, Irfan, Celahir...no matter what name you use, the one common word to describe this man is “outstanding”. Celahir was brought into the FIST office by my predecessor, and has been an essential part of my staff ever since.

During his six months as magistrate, Celahir has taken on a number of projects (almost always of his own volition) most notably the re-organization and editing of the vast trove (~40) of Gaming and Fist-related Wiki pages. Additionally, he spearheaded a re-write of the General Warfare Shadow Academy course, bringing the course in line with our current systems and finally eliminating all IRC focused language from the course.

Additionally, Celahir keeps the clusters flowing in his primary M:Fist role: keeping the submission queue cleared. Since joining the staff, he has reviewed and approved 249 PvE activities and 90 PvP activities. He has organized quite a few gaming competitions as well, most notably the year-long Mobile and Flash gaming competitions.

Irfan is exactly the type of member this club needs in its senior ranks. He is driven, focused, and above all he places the membership ahead of himself. I am honored to have the chance to raise my voice in chorus with Atty, Uji (log), Tim, and Farrin in recommending Irfy for elevation to the last of the Equite ranks.

Congratulations, Cel. Nobody has earned this more than you.

Since Thanadd was last promoted in 2012 he took a hiatus from the Dark Brotherhood for a few years, but his return in December 2016 has shown a vigor that is truly outstanding. He has racked up participation in 54 competitions, organized 4, earned two merit medals, 18 crescents including a diamond, a handful of crescents, 5 Legions of the Scholar and two Seals. He took my advice and got involved in the ACC again, completing two matches so far. He has written in 7 fiction competitions, contributing over 5200 words. One of those fiction competitions earned his character a place in House Mortis' "canon" history. Last but certainly not least, Thanadd has completed an impressive 33 Shadow Academy courses and 7 degrees since his last promotion.

In addition to all this activity Thanadd has taken on a role as BTL of the Deathsworn. He has been hard at work in this new role, communicating frequently with both the members of the BTL and his leadership. He has organized seven competitions so far in 2017 and shows no signs of slowing down. He has been in the position for about a month and written a report, so he's on track for that as well.

Thanadd has been a productive member in our Clan's "Extended Summit" discussions, actively helping to shape Tarentum's path forward. He is always positive, always professional, and a natural leader. We are delighted to have him back.

Scion Tarentae, 2017-03-18 23:02:21 UTC
Additional reasons

Thanadd Mawgath is one of those rare members every Clan wishes they had more of. He is constantly a presence in Clan chat always willing to help, offer advice, or just shoot the breeze with the guys.

Thanadd is a member I also have unique relationship with, he is the BTL of Deathsworn, which is the Team I belong to. Not only that, but it's a Team I have lead before, so I have a vested interest and a critical eye toward the position. As I am Clan Rollmaster he is both my subordinate in that capacity, and my immediate superior on the Team.

Our unique relationship has created a sense of mutual respect and trust. I know I can come to him if I have concerns and he will address them, and he knows he can come to me if he has concerns or needs advice and I will help him. He's been dealt a bad hand, Deathsworn was fairly inactive when he took over, but he hasn't let that stop him. He's shown unbridled enthusiasm and positivity and has started to breathe new life into Deathsworn.

Thanadd is one of those guys that will go out of his way if he knows you need help or if you ask him for help. What we need is about 50 more members just like him in the Brotherhood.

Kneel, Knight Thanadd...you have served your Clan and the Brotherhood well. For that reason, more power and trust can be given to you. From this day forward you shall no longer be a Journeyman of the Brotherhood. Arise and take your place among the Equites of the Brotherhood.

Kromtal Bloodfyre Romanae, 2017-03-18 22:13:23 UTC

Thanadd Mawgath has been incredible since his return to Tarentum. He has stepped up and took the reigns of Battleteam leader, He's always eager to help but also improve himself. He is rockstar! He is the future of Tarentum and I just can't imagine him not being an Equite. I find this promotion fitting and long time coming. Congratulations!

Since his last promotion not quite a year ago Geosh has been a steady source of activity in Tarentum. He has participated in 62 competitions, earned two merit awards, 22 crescents, 9 Pendants of Blood, over 1900 clusters, a Legion of the Scholar and a Seal of Loyalty. He completed one ACC match. He has also passed 18 Shadow Academy courses and earned 3 degrees.

For the last six months Geosh has been Aedile in House Mortis. He filed four reports in that time, but more importantly I made him the "owner" of gaming in our House. It has been his responsibility to run gaming competitions and to evangelize gaming of all kinds to our members. He has been active in pushing gaming in his reports and on Telegram, and he has organized over a dozen competitions in that capacity (some upcoming or still running), and with great variety. Geosh has been eager to learn the ropes of running a House and has never let me down. He's great with our members, always around on Telegram and has been a very positive influence on the House. I am proud to have him as Aedile and I am confident that I can rely on his leadership ability.

Scion Tarentae, 2017-03-18 23:02:24 UTC
Additional reasons

In the last year I've gotten to know Geosh fairly well as he is the Aedile of House Mortis. In that time I've had the privilege of serving both beneath him as the BTL of Deathsworn and now above him as the Rollmaster of Tarentum. I have always found Geosh to be friendly, outgoing, and dedicated to his duties. He has a constant presence in our Clan's Telegram channel and is always willing to help out anyone who needs advice or assistance.

Geosh is someone who makes his Clan proud, and is a guy I'm proud to call my brother Tarenti. I can think of nobody more deserving of this recognition and elevation into the ranks of the Equite than Geosh Romanae. Welcome to the Equites, Geosh...drinks are on you!

Kromtal Bloodfyre Romanae, 2017-03-18 22:01:29 UTC

My apprentice Geosh is a great member of Tarentum and I'm very proud of him. This promotion comes naturally. He has stepped up to become Aedile of Mortis which he leads by example. He's a gaming beast but also a caring leader and a fun guy to be around. I think he is deserving to step into the ranks of Equites. Congratulations, Geosh!

What is there to say about Firith? That he’s active? Well in that regards he is extremely active. In fact, I do believe that Firith is one of House Marka Ragnos’s most active members, if not the clans. From annoying everyone on Telegram daily, to always getting involved with the ongoing email discussions, run-ons, event competitions and competitions around the Brotherhood as a whole. He’s not afraid to say his mind or say what he thinks which in this day in age where everyone skirts around matters or steps as if on eggshells can be quite refreshing. He’s a relative newcomer to my House and that means little in the grand scheme of things. He’s settled in well and taken to his new location like a duck to water, or for a more Brotherhood related example; Muz to the Booze cabinet.

Now we’ll get to the nitty gritty of what Firith has done since his last promotion way back in August. First off he has run three competitions; Assemble Your Weapon, They Are Coming For You & Ahem A Poem About Me. He has also participated in 91 competitions, which you will have to forgive me for not listing every single one, however, most recently he has participated in I Am The Man Who Arranges The Blocks, MAA Puzzle #4 and Cursed Treasure.

On top of this crazy participation record, bearing in mind this is over a 7 month period, he has earned a total of 1 Anterian Cross, A Crescent With Diamond Star, 3 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 13 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 8 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 3 Crescents with Emerald Stars, 3 Pendants of Blood, 16 Clusters of Fire, 58 Clusters of Ice, 30 Clusters of Earth, 22 Clusters of Graphite and 1 Scroll of Indoctrination. Gaming wise he’s done 6 PvP Matches and 7 PvE matches. Passed 8 courses in the SA and fictionally; in the last half a year he’s written 23,020 words in Fiction competitions alone and another 12,768 words in Run-ons. This in itself totals 35,788 words.

That’s insane.

It also shows he does more than one category of competition. He does everything from fiction to gaming and his arts pretty damn good. Firith is a man who is unafraid to get stuck in, regardless of how he feels at the end he will still throw himself back into the mix to just enjoy himself. In our latest event set on Moraband, he took part in everything he could and walked away in the top 3. The weekly counts always have Firith mentioned and I’m usually surprised if they don’t. He is a man that one can look to and know things will get done. He may be a grump, and he may have his own issues outside the club, but we all do.

I am proud to have Firith in my house and today I am more than proud to recommend his promotion to EQ2. He’s a bloody workhorse and I’ll be sad if I ever have to see him depart for better prospects, cause in truth he would deserve them.

Well done old timer. Thank you for making me proud to be your Aedile.

Firith is the resident old man of Naga Sadow. He's a curmudgeonly gentleman who has worked hard to show just how much he values his time spent here. I couldn't imagine Naga Sadow without Firith, his trademark way of talking in fictions always amuses me. Raikou has talked about Firith's achievements and I'm pleased to add my congratulations.

Well done and enjoy Savant, Firith!

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2017-03-14 17:41:43 UTC

Firith is a character. I don't mean that in the 'he has a sheet with points on it and a fleshed out background' sort of way. I mean that in that he has an almost iconic sense of self that he brings to everything he does, be it his constant communication on Telegram or his vast amount of competition entries. It may seem like it is not that huge of a thing, but these sorts of memorable individuals do wonders for our clan in that they encourage people to be more than the stereotypical 'brooding bad boy sith' or 'happy go lucky jedi'. And yet, this is just a small example of how Firith has been able to enhance the clan.

My aedile did a great job elucidating the hard numbers of what the man has done in terms of quantifiable activity, competition entries, and so forth. What he may have missed is how he is constantly trying to help out.

A great example of this is how, when we were discussing the 'writing my character 101' documents, he made an off-hand remark on creating a list of questions for members to pore over to help them flesh themselves out. I honestly forgot about the conversation until i got the email. Firith sent to me a document that was twelve pages long, asking 178 questions. My head still swims, as I don't even know how I could utilize it fully, as it is just too much. But it illustrates the craziness of the man, putting in that level of work based on a throw-away conversation. His work with other members of the summit to create events (the Void storyline comes to mind) bears this same level of activity.

Ultimately, I have always felt that people promote themselves, and in this case Firith exemplifies it. His level of dedication, his constant activity, and his curmudgeonly stubborn-ness to drive toward improving the clan in any way that he can marks him as a Savant. I am glad to help put words in so that it is appropriately adjusted on the site. Thank you for all of your work, all you have done, and all I know you are planning on doing. I truly appreciate you.

~Muz Ashen, the Lion of Tarthos

Lord Muz Ashen Keibatsu, 2017-03-17 01:51:15 UTC

It is with great pleasure that I write this for Mystic Firith'rar J. Versea-Stormwind. Since coming to the Night Hawks he has been an indispensable asset to the team, house, and clan. The guy is constantly active. You cannot go a week without seeing this name on at least a dozen different competition details. As his Battle Team Leader, one would want ten folks like this on a team.

Firith’s writing ability is amazing. Not only has he participated in the many, many comps the Brotherhood produces. He wins at them. Just going through his activity records will put a smile on any BTL’s face. Not just on a sporadic basis, he consistently places in these comps. Most impressively, his storyline for the Sands of Time with his team was unbelievably good and as a staple, he won the whole comp.

To caveat off the fiction aspect, Firith’s graphics ability is just as stellar. He has not only created good graphic comps, but he places and wins at them as well. His graphics for Sands of Time, Siege of Heaven simply amazing. The man has many facets and is instrumental to our team.

Mystic Firith, in my opinion, should not only be bestowed this promotion but he in all rights and purposes should be commanding a team of his own. As both of us are military veteran’s, I can say that I would have been honored to serve beside him in the battlefield of our military careers. It is still just as much of an honor to know him, interact with him personally.

Mystic Firith is well deserving of this promotion, and it is with great honor that I recommend him for the elevation in rank.
