It has been a slow steady climb for Ashlynn and sometimes she may feel I'm constantly pushing her to get something done, but in the end the has continued her task of completing her trials even when she didn't think she would do so herself. I'm proud of you.

Since her last promotion Ashlynn has participated in 4 competitions, and completed 2 leadership courses. I'm looking forward to what activity she might bring to the table in the next few months. Keep up the good work.

Maximus Alvinius, 2015-11-01 18:54:44 UTC
Additional reasons

Today Ashlynn takes another step forward in her Knighting trials by advancing to the rank of Hunter. To date, she has co-organized 3 DJB Wide competitions. She has participated in a further 10, earning an Emerald star Crescent. She has visited the IRC and DJB Voice chats, completed the Leadership Competitions and Leadership Rewards SA exams, and written a character fiction.

For her efforts and successful completion of these requirements I recommend she be advanced to the rank of Hunter. Congrats Ash! Drinks are on you!

12 years is a long time to remain the same in anything. The same job, the same home, the same club. 12 years at the same rank, in a club like ours, is especially long. We have very few members who have remained active, who care, and who are dedicated to the Dark Brotherhood's long term success, but Hades can be counted as one of them. I think we are very fortunate as a club that we have members who are willing to remain dedicated, despite not always seeing forward progress or upward mobility in their "fictional" careers. In that, I think we are very fortunate to have Hades with us and I think we are even more fortunate to be a part of his long overdue promotion to Battlelord.

Congrats.

My first experience with Hades was in "opposing" teams, as I was a founding member of the notorious Mystics of the Black Arts, he as a founding member of the Wizards of the Crypt. They sought to prove that more than the Mystics could represent the greatness of Gladius and Tarentum. He was dedicated, motivated, stubborn, but friendly and happy. That has never changed. His tenacity and concern for all were the main reasons I chose him as Aedile when I was first gifted to serve as Quaestor of Gladius, and it has been the start to a long, historic period of service.

Hades remains a valuable member of the Clan. He still participates in comps throughout the years, steps up to serve in leadership when called, and is slways in touch and helps promote friendly communication and bonding within the Clan. He may not make waves within the Club, but his ripples reach everywhere. People know his face, and they know he's here because he WANTS to be, and he participates for the joy of being a Star Wars fan, and friendly Club member. When you are active in a Club like this without the "carrot" of promotion in front of you, it stands as an example for the rest of us. Hades is a paragon of attitude and friendship we all need to seek after and perpetuate.

You are, and always will be, one of my longest-lasting friends, Hades, and it is always a pleasure to share in this history and family with you. Congrats, pally. More than many others, you deserve every recognition this Club can offer.

Master Zsarion Bloodfyre, 2015-10-31 16:49:42 UTC

I have known Hades longer than I have been in the DB. We first met trying to out-post each other on the (long-defunct) EH AOL Message Boards. In all these years he has never stopped caring, never stopped helping, and never stopped being active. Hades has been a constant in Tarentum, and the DB in general, and this promotion is long overdue. I unequivocally add my voice to these others in recommending this.

Warlord Pel Tarentae, 2015-10-31 17:20:48 UTC

The Master-at-Arms’ staff hates lists in recommendations, and it’s completely understandable why. However, if they’d indulge me for just a second I have one list I’d like to share: Battleteam Leader for five months; four times as Aedile (for 28 months total); twelve months as Quaestor; and three tours on the Recruitment Staff for thirteen months total. This, to me, indicates a leader regularly willing to step up when his Clan and his Brotherhood need him to serve, and it is one of the many reasons I believe that my friend and Master, Hades, deserves a severely long-overdue promotion to EQ3. The expectations for elevation to that rank are one year minimum of sustained activity and three months of leadership, and over the past twelve years of service to Tarentum he’s more than met those requirements.

More than all of the other metrics that we use to gauge whether a member is worthy of promotion, the thing that has always stood out to me about Hades is his loyalty to his Clan. As anyone who has worked with or over Hades can attest, he can be cussedly headstrong and, I’ll admit (and I’m saying this with love!) he can be a bit difficult at times. What I’ve learned about Hades in my time working with him, though, is that his heart is always in the right place: Tarentum. It’s a trait I wish more people throughout the club shared. Hades, my friend, I’m proud to finally help get you what you should have earned long ago. Thank you for everything, amigo… now, you owe me a Cuban sandwich!

Battlemaster Farrin Xies Consul, Clan Tarentum

Adept Farrin Xies Tarentae, 2015-11-01 05:22:58 UTC

“This promotion is not a reward for past efforts so much as a renewed commitment to continued excellence going forward.”

I used to write those words whenever I granted a promotion but it rings more true with Hades than with anyone else I’ve written them for. I first met Hades in the EH when I was a CMDR on the Sov and he was a brand new recruit. That was back around 1997. We’ve been inseparable ever since. He and I both led squadrons and wings to greatness back in those days, and he’s the one who brought me over here to Tarentum after a hiatus while I was in college. He was EQ2 when I joined up in 2007 and he was still EQ2 up until now. In well over a decade he has never considered leaving Tarentum and he never made a big fuss about the rank. For Hades, it has always been about raising Tarentum up and not about his own medals and ranks.

Ironically, I believe it is his loyalty to Tarentum that is to blame for keeping him at EQ2 for so long. Most others would have sought a DC position or moved to another Clan after a couple of years without a promotion, but Hades is Tarentum through and through. His involvement in projects and as a leader is very apparent within our Clan, but he hasn’t been so concerned with making a splash outside of Yridia.

Hades has held many leadership positions within Tarentum up to and including a stint as Proconsul, but even without a position he is a leader in Tarentum and any Tarenti you ask will certainly agree. He’s always here on email and Telegram posting pictures of food and making everyone hungry. He’s always up for reviewing writing or playing a game or just talking shop with all the other old farts in our Clan. He always has the time to help the younger members be successful. He has been part of numerous projects over the years in Houses Gladius, Kaerner and Tarentum, in particular the projects related to our military which has always had a keen interest in. As we all grow older we have to be more picky about what we have time to participate in, but when Vendettas roll around Hades is always one of the top participants and one of the most vocal people urging everyone to do more, and to do better. He’s not above doing the hard work, and he’s proven time and time again that he’s a Tarenti or nothing. This has been a long, long time coming and is well deserved. Congratulations, buddy!

Scion Tarentae

Scion Tarentae, 2015-11-01 05:23:36 UTC

Hades is a great member of Tarentum, his relationship with the Clan is part of his history as much as Hades is a part of Tarentum’s history. He is the Master of Scion and Farrin, the former Quaestor of House Tarentum and the current Consul of Clan Tarentum. If that not speaks for itself then we should consider that Hades was a leader of House Gladius and House Tarentum while young future leaders where up and coming. I speak of Ronovi, Solari, Egregious, Caesar and Samael and many more. They’ve all served under Hades, while he was either a Aedile of Gladius for three months in 2008 and then Quaestor of Gladius for another year before stepping down and giving his seat to Scion and serving as his Aedile again for eight months, for a total of almost two years of continuous leadership of House Gladius. Hades also served as Aedile of Tarentum for eight months from august 2014 and yes, during his time, Gladius or Tarentum have been through various DJB wide events like the Ninth Great Jedi War, Rite of Supremacy, Horizons, Independence Games and the Dark Crusade. Beside participating in all of this major events, he motivated his members to do the same.

Tarentum might not have ever been in the top three but the work behind the participations can’t be denied. He lead his units by example, earning two Novae, one Pendant of Blood, twenty six Crescents of various types, thirty one Clusters of Ice and was reward for his loyalty and service with two Seals of Loyalty, one Dark Cross, two Anteian Crosses, and one Grand Cross since his last promotion.

He has even been a Recruitment Staff member since its beginning and has helped shape the various social media channels for the Club for as much as ten months.

We have here a member that has served his unit and the club as a whole, is active on chatting channels and is a trusted presence of the Clan, a veritable elder of Tarentum that has shaped its history and continues to do so at the moment.

I think this promotion is long overdue and I hereby congratulate Battlelord Hades!

Maximus Alvinius
Primary reason

When I think of Aule, consistency and dedication to activity are what come to mind. While he may not be the most outspoken member of our Clan, he is always there in the shadows putting in work. Many people come through this club and burn out after hitting Knight, but not Aule. He has maintained his steadfast resolve and continued to bring it on. Since his last promotion 8 months ago he has earned 2 ACs, participated in 35 competitions, earning 17 crescents, 3 PoBs, 662 Clusters of Fire, 264 Clusters of Earth, and managed to bag 1 course in the SA. As you can see he is quite the gamer and has earned an impressive amount for it since his last promotion. Congrats Aule! Keep up the strong work!

Maximus Alvinius, 2015-11-01 00:02:14 UTC
Additional reasons

I am honoured to be recommending Aule Jr. for the rise to the Equites, it is one we should all be proud of achieving as it demonstrates many aspects future leaders all require. Consistent activity from a member is the keystone for this promotion, as it demonstrates dedication to the Clan, hard work and reliability as a working member of our society. Aule is not a stronger to this word and infact takes pride in demonstrating this, by earning six hundred and sixty two Clusters of fire, two hundred and sixty four Clusters of Earth and 3 well-earned Pendants of Blood. As a Star Conflict gamer, he excels in his gaming activities.

Another factor for Equite promotion is what the member gives back to the club, his legacy and reputation known by others for what he is and does. Aule Jr. is a gamer, and a hard working one at that. His efforts in organising Star Conflict matches, making sure the SC community play fairly and calmly is something they all know from him. His personality and attitude towards others is always a passionate and friendly manner, that is something Scholae Palatinae will remember of him.

Finally the final factor for the rise to Equite is something we all strive to achieve; long term achievements. We know the jump from Knight to EQ1 is one of the biggest steps we take, and Aule Jr. definitely has some awards to back him up. For being a constant reminder of our strong community for dedicated players in various platforms and matches, Aule earned himself two Anteian Crosses within eight months.

Congratulations Aule! Welcome to the Equites!

Qor Kith, 2015-10-31 12:54:15 UTC

Aule Jr. is a tenacious and skilled member of this club who doesn't ever slow down in his pursuit of excellence. As one of CSP's biggest gamers, Aule hits it hard to bring home the gold. With some 35 different competitions submissions, 5 Ruby, 9 Amethyst, and 3 Sapphire stars, its clear to see he doesn't slack off in his duties. Earning two Anteian Crosses for his gaming efforts since reaching Knighthood, his numbers continue to soar. With nearly 150 different gaming activities over the last several months, 662 CFs and 264 CEs, punctuated with 3 PoBs. Aule is a gaming machine. At the end of the day, Aule is a consistent source of activity that I know I can rely on to show other members a good time in the gaming realm. For this I recommend he be awarded a promotion to the rank of Warrior.

Congratulations Aule, and welcome to the equite ranks. Drinks are on you!

Primary reason

Dempsey has been quite an asset in terms of gaming, AND fiction activity. Even with his real life job pulling his away for a mere month, he was able to return strong and take hold of activity on two different fronts. Since his last promotion, he has earned 1 AC, 1 DC, participated in 29 competitions, netting 15 crescents, 1 PoB, 547 Clusters of Fire, 195 Clusters of Earth, and 25 Clusters of Ice! That equates to about 45 pages of fiction alone. Dempsey also continued to excel in the SA academy where he passed 8 courses. Dempsey has been a huge force of activity for our Clan. I love that he is diverse in his competitions and that even when RL comes at us hard, he stuck it out, didn't AWOL, and came back strong. Keep it up Dempsey!

Maximus Alvinius, 2015-11-01 00:01:59 UTC
Additional reasons

Anahorn Dempsey is a multi functional member of House Imperium and deservedly earns what he strives to achieve, through consistent hard work Anahorn is a great gamer, and an invaluable writer. Since his last promotion, Anahorn shows us this is an avid player of Star Conflict and Pazaak. By keeping the peace on both games, striving to make the community of gamers a fair and peaceful area and being there as a supporting member for the new gamers, this member has proven to us what it takes to be a leader without the necessary titles.

By participating in over twenty nine competitions and placing in fifteenth of them, Anahorn has demonstrated that he can put his mind into the task when he believes. Writing fiction in this Clan is not an easy task to do, as many of the competitions given to us can be tough and difficult tasks to create a worthy story in such a short time frame, Anahorn liked to be challenged and faced fiction head on. By earning twenty five Clusters of Ice, and writing over eleven thousand words of fiction, Anahorn demonstrated he is a strong performer in fiction and House Imperium.

Congratulations Anahorn! Welcome to the Equites!

Qor Kith, 2015-10-31 12:53:38 UTC

The great and persistent Dempsey has done a lot of work over the last 8 months since reaching knighthood. Today I have the honor of touching on this great commitment from Dempsey, and add my voice to the call for Equites.

Dempsey has participated regularly in competitions, coming to a total of 29 since reaching Knight. Of these Dempsey has pulled in eight Ruby stars, four Amethyst, and three Sapphire. Dempsey has been part of 46 PVP, and 113 PVE gaming submissions on the site, earning 1 Pendant of Blood, 547 CFs and 195 CEs. Dempsey has also written 11,258 words of fiction both in regular competitions and in run-ons., earning some 25 Clusters of Ice. As a gamer, a writer, a member, and a friend Dempsey hits it hard and with a high level of skill.

The jump to Equite 1 is a huge accomplishment, and Dempsey has certainly earned the title of Warrior. Congratulations Dempsey! Drinks are on you!

Lexic has only come to us just recently, but as the RM one of my jobs is to look over each members performances and help recommend rewards with the Summit when that member has performed beyond what is expected. Looking at Lexic profile since his last promotion, I was blown away from all that he has achieved in both leadership and activity.

Since his last promotion, Lexic has earned 2 Steel Crosses, 3 Dark Crosses, organized 13 competitions while participating in 117. He earned 34 Crescents, 1 Pendant of Blood, 164 Cluster of Fire, A Whooping 74 Cluster of Ice, 15 Cluster of Earth, and 2 Legion of the Scholar. His activity in the SA earned him 5 degrees, where he also passed 5 courses. He also contributed 28794 words of fiction in 16 various fiction events.

Leadership wise, Lexic has proven he has it. He spent 4 months as QUA, another 4 months as a Recruitment Staff Member, 2 months as Battleteam Leader, and another month as SA Doc where he graded 20 exams.

While he has only been a member of CSP for a short time, I can see that Lexic more than earned this promotion. He is a member who we have great visions for and we know he will do well. Keep up the great work Lexic!

Maximus Alvinius, 2015-11-01 00:02:29 UTC
Additional reasons

In this world, often you will find doers and finishers. doers are no good because they are constantly doing something but never have the ability to finish. Finishers always rush to finish something without thinking of what else needs to be done. There are a select few that look at things differently, which I will come back to later.

I know Lexiconus has only been a member of CSP for a short period of time, but I can assure you that this promotion is well deserved despite our short time together. Lexic has joined the Brotherhood a little over a year ago and he is already a Warrior. Someone who ascends the ranks with that amount of efficiency tells me something that came to mind moments ago. He has earned the rank of Graduate at a maxima cum laude in the shadow Academy with 209 AC credits. He drove himself to look past himself and help others and the Brotherhood at large. He joined the Shadow Academy as a docent and is still currently on the Dark Council of assistants. Lexic didn't stop there, is is also active in the ACC and qualified in addition to be at the rank of High inquisitor within the inquisitorial society. He has earned eleven crescents in just two months of just a small fraction of his stellar activity. Lexic is everywhere in the most positive aspect and he intends to stay.

Now why didn't I appoint Lexic, well I felt I didn't want to pull him away from his clan. In his application, he stated he worked closely with his leadership, providing his assistance with various works on the wiki pages and editing. Well, it turns out fate brought him into our summit after all and I am anticipating a great future working with him. He has already been a BTL and a QUA within his clan respectively, already getting his boots wet with what he will be tasked with. In his application, Lexic is not someone to shy away from anything, he is a bright and shining member who drives himself for the benefit of everyone. He came in this club, took it head on, grabbing anything he could by the throat and going for it the best of his ability. I value that in anyone and as a leader, that is someone that sticks out and has and continues to be a great a well respected leader.

So any great leader will look at his members or a project and think, what can I do to get this finished. That is what a small margin of people in this world possess and that is what a great leader possesses. Although, I have only worked with Lexiconus for a very short period of time, he is someone that I have no doubt will give it all he has. Thank You and Congrats Lexiconus! Drinks on You!

Lucyeth, 2015-10-11 15:37:25 UTC

I've had the chance to talk with Lexic over several matters in the past several months. Every single time it was clear he was an ambitious and passionate member with a relentless can-do attitude. Now, with CSP in need of a new Aedile, Lexic jumped in with the same passion he had demonstrated over his time here in the club.

Lexic is an individual that anyone who has been active on IRC or Telegram in recent months will be familiar with. He is everywhere in his active push to better himself and the club. He has a mile-long list of activities from the last ten months since reaching the rank of Warrior.

Over the last ten months, he has organized 13 competitions. He has gone on to participate in 117 competitions. That works out to be about three a week for ten months straight. This is an astounding amount of work. This work has earned him 2 Ruby, 7 Amethyst, 13 Sapphire, 9 Emerald, 2 Topaz, and 1 Quartz Star Crescents. This isn't just a mass of submissions, but submissions that are of a high enough quality to place. From 16 fiction activities, he wrote almost 29k words. He pulled in 74 Clusters of Ice from all of this. He has earned 164 Clusters of Fire and 15 Clusters of Earth. He has also earned 2 Steel Crosses, and 3 Dark Crosses.

There is absolutely no doubt Lexic has shown the highest possible level of activeness over the last ten months, and is ready to advance deeper into the Equite Ranks. Congratulations Battlemaster Lexiconus Qor! Drinks are on you!

Lord Idris Adenn, 2015-10-11 21:20:39 UTC

After seeing Lexiconus from afar over the past year and a few months, it has been refreshing to see him join Scholae Palatinae as my Aedile and hit the ground running. In just a short time, we have already begun to plan out our motives and modus operandi for the next six months for the House.

In his past exploits, this young warrior has taken the time to not only become a prolific writer, but a gamer (1k combined gaming clusters) and scholar (16 degrees) of the Shadow Academy as well. His participation (163) in competitions has been extraordinary, and Lexiconus has done a tremendous job of hosting competitions (24) as well.

Congratulations on your next step up the hierarchy of the Brotherhood.

General Kell Palpatine Dante, 2015-10-12 02:53:30 UTC

Lexiconus served the final two months of his stint of being Battleteam Leader of Dark Forge (House Galeres, Clan Arcona) following his last elevation and through the trials of Great Jedi War XI. While my name does not stand on the Steel Cross he received on February 20th, 2015 (as the award was handled perfectly by my Summit at the time) I oversaw that time period and can confidently confirm that he was indeed one of our most active Summit member on a daily basis. While he needed guidance and help and had no experience as a leader previously, he did not let it stop him from communicating with the team, always asking what he could do to improve, or help, and showed initiative and drive to apply to new openings that came up. He lead by example in Great Jedi War XI, and his continued activity thereafter when he moved to a new Clan Naga Sadow speak clearly in the activity stats already outlined herein.

That is all I can really add at this moment as his former Consul. Lexiconus may not be the most decorated leader the club has had, but his heart, energy, and passion for the club is the right attitude that members of an online Star Wars club should have.

So, congrats, Lexic. Well deserved, and this is proof that hard work and dedication will always pay off.

Consul Emeritus of Clan Arcona Combat Master of the Brotherhood

Lord Marick Tyris Arconae, 2015-10-12 03:18:31 UTC

Lexiconus is one of the most active members of the Dark Brotherhood and definitely deserving of recognition. He has participated in a total of 123 competitions since his last elevation. This includes nearly every competition released, whether at a Clan level, a Battleteam level, or DJB-wide, regardless of whether it is graphics, gaming, fiction, or otherwise. Lexic relentlessly continued this even while Quaestor without any dip in activity.

As a result, since his last elevation, he's earned 35 crescents, including 2 Ruby, 7 Amethyst, 14 Sapphire, 9 Emerald, 2 Topaz, and 1 Quartz. He has also earned 168 Clusters of Fire, 76 Clusters of Ice, 15 Clusters of Earth, and two Legions of the Scholar. He also earned 10 Seals of Revelation, indicating that he participated in 10/11 competitions in the 11th Great Jedi War.

These numbers are staggering for a ten month period. His competition participation comes out to 12 per month. That's often more than the amount featured in major clan events. And that is every month for Lexic for ten months straight.

While Quaestor of Shar Dakhan, Lexic led by example with his participation, showing the House that even with leadership duties added on, it could be done. He coordinated the "What Lies Beneath" event this past April with his Aedile and Battleteam leader, including setting up competitions and promoting it. For these accomplishments, he earned a Steel Cross on the 28th of June this year.

Furthermore, Lexic has earned three Dark Crosses over his time in Naga Sadow, and only one of them is actually because of actions within the Clan. The other two are not even from the same department of the club as each other. This shows that he seeks to help the Brotherhood beyond just his own clan, in any way that he can, and is a trait that is a hallmark of future great leaders of the club. One of these was for work on the Recruitment Tribune's team, another for helping to write and edit the Planets and Moons Shadow Academy course. The final one was for his sheer amount of activity over the course of some time in CNS.

All in all, Lexic wants to help out. He does almost every competition imaginable. He's collected a huge amount of crescents and other awards for it. In the past ten months, he has consistently had one of the highest amounts of activity among his peers. For this reasons, I would like to add my recommendation to his promotion.

Congratulations, Lexic!

Sim is a name that has been around CSP as long as I have. He was a major force of activity for us leading all the way back to the GJW. He had his stop in the rogues, but came back more active and willing to contribute. Most new joins never make it past the first rank. Sim has stayed the course and slowly continued to forge his path towards knighting. He has had many great contributions in his past, to include a Clan project where he created a user friendly video on how to submit gaming activities to assist our new members who had no idea. The video was such a success that our very own GM requested it be implemented into the website to the FIST. Sim had already acquired enough to make Knight long ago, but fell short on a few competitions and the Clan project video that we requested he complete. Sim I look forward to the next big thing from you. Keep up the good work!

Additional reasons

Sim, our avid gamer and lego master, has come to the end of his Knighthood trials. He has Co-organized 3 competitions, participated in 15 total as well. His activity has led to him earning two dark crosses. As a gamer he was a frequent face on CSP's minecraft server, and since then has taken up as a regular on TOR. He has earned some 74 CFs total, along with 62 CEs and 3 PoB. While Sim's activity both in and out of the club has been impressive, he also went and created a stellar video tutorial for new members to learn how to submit gaming matches on the site, which has been of use to many of the new members already. I couldn't be more glad to have Sim around, and to see him successfully come to the end of his Knighthood trials.

Congratulations KNIGHT Sim Vel'Potens. Drinks are on you!

Lord Idris Adenn, 2015-10-31 22:58:26 UTC

In less than 1 year Sim has completed the requirements to become a Knight, his main source of activity is gaming. He earned 3 pendants of blood, 74 CoF and 62 CoE. Also he organized 2 competitions. His interest in gaming and improving the amount of gaming led him to make a video instructing how to report gaming activities in the djb portal. Lately he has completed all the requirements for knighthood by writing his story on wiki. Congratulations Sim, and continue on your path to make this club grow.

Ulfsark, 2015-10-31 22:59:35 UTC

Sim Vel'Potens. It's a name in Clan Scholae Palatinae that screams confidence, bravery and a proud attitude. He dominates his ambitions and doesn't sit back waiting for things to come his way. As a man who believes the best outcomes are through your own actions, Sim has clearly demonstrated this. By co-organising his own incredibly successful series of Star Conflict Competitions Brotherwood-wide, and being a submitter to four other competitions in the countless list he racks up it's a common subject to see Sim as a high-end star.

Congratulations Sim! I do believe drinks are on you.

Kyo Akumu is a fresh faced fire of activity and compassion since joining Scholae Palatinae over three months ago. It was only recently his activity soared above the glass roof of Journeymen activity and dedication. It's no small feat to be a hard worker, but Kyo has just done that. He doesn't take activity for granted and achieves the best he can. By earning second place in the CSP pod racing competition and achieving first place in the Kill the Gungans! Competition, Kyo has proved he has what it takes to be the best. Since his last promotion, Kyo Akumu has researched what he can about the Star Wars Universe, and appended his own Character Sheet three times in order to achieve the acting and writing style he wishes to show later in the club. Above all, Kyo is a vibrant and happy member of our humble community. By voicing his opinions in the Telegram channel and socialising with others, I can firmly believe Kyo will fit into our little family.

Congratulations Super-tofu! Not long till you hit knighthood.
