Appius has had a long, thorough career and storied history throughout his time in the Brotherhood. Throughout his time, he has been a beacon within not just Taldryan, but the Brotherhood at large. His positivity is purely intoxicating, and he drives activity and invigorates everyone he is around in a way very few are able to accomplish. He is well respected, and admired, by everyone he interacts with is a true example of what it means to be a beacon within this community.

Within Taldryan, his pinnacle came during his time as Consul of Clan Taldryan, where we saw some of our highest participation and activity numbers that we had seen in a very long time. Even after everything that happened at the start of this year, he continues to uphold that pinnacle since his last promotion over a year ago. He has let nothing get in his way, and strives to surpass any and all challenges that present themselves before him with unwavering devotion and dedication.

During his time as Consul, we worked together in crafting the Saijo Superweapon storyline, with himself having taken on the entirety of the Saijo planet's design and functionality itself. This included all of the competitions that took place upon it, and worked with me on the remainder including the Saijo Superweapon RP as a Co-DM, and with the rest of the competitions. Working with Koda to help bolster his strengths and prepare him for the future ahead, he helped coordinate all of our 2022 Sithmas competitions.

The Clan's first major feud in a significant amount of time, Plagueis v. Taldryan, was also worked on by both him and Slags. I would go more into this; but it's only more appropriate for Slags to do just that!

Since his last promotion, Appius has participated in an astounding 394 competitions and organized 140 in addition. He has written over 118,000 words in roleplaying across 24 participated sessions and 12 DM'd sessions, with an additional 35 fictional events at another 62,000 words. Everything combined, he has earned Taldryan over 2.1 million credits since then. He has also earned a Ruby Scepter and an Amethyst Kukri, 2 Gold Novae and a single Bronze Novae, and with all crescent types combined; 179 crescents. In addition to 18 Seals of Transcendence from the recent Great Jedi War, and being our highest non-summit performer.

Appius had a dream, and that dream was to host a Clan Feud. It was my pleasure to work with him to give him the opportunity to make his dream a reality by supplying the Clan for Taldryan to Feud with. But, make no mistake, Appius did the lion's share of the heavy lifting on the Feud itself, getting everything set up just so and handling most all of the administrative work where the feud interfaced with the Council. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him in setting up the event, and it speaks to Appius's dedication to the "One Brotherhood" ideal that one of his biggest goals as Consul was to do something with another Clan. Additionally, during his time as Consul he was a positive member of the Consul community, helping his fellow Clan overseers in shared discussions and planning. He was, in every sense of the word, and Elder statesman, so I feel it very fitting to make him an Elder in fact as well.

Appius has been a pillar of what Elder members within the Brotherhood represent. He's been a self-starter for as long as I have known him with his frequent questions in #fiction-chat and #rp-lobby. While it would have been easy for him to have focused his attention inward to his clan he's always sought to engage with the whole community.

He's willing to take risks on competitions with humorous premises to gain experience, learn from the feedback from the membership, and grow to deliver outstanding success. He was a constant professional while planning, executing, and grading the CSP/Tally competition.

I've yet to find a single area that Appius hasn't had a strong hand in participating and encouraging participation. I know whatever role he's in he's going to continue to make the Brotherhood a stronger community.

Appius has been impressively active since his last promotion. He spent six months working hard as Tal CON before having to take a step back due to real life, but that really hasn't slowed him down. He remains one of our most visible, most active, and, frankly, most likable members. Congrats, Appius!
