Primary reason: Xan Phraz-Etar has been a long time member, friend, ally, and leader within Scholae Palatinae. Since his last promotion he helped Scholae Palatinae in some of its darkest moments while it was just a House. He spent 3 hard months working with myself as my second in command. His work as Aedile was thorough and a tremendous aid to myself. When real life reared its head, losing him was a tough blow to recover from. He was a constant ear and aid on all of our efforts to push forward to be reclanned. Since his most recent return to the clan however, I have been thrilled to see he hasn’t lost any of his skills and talents as a member.

With a wide array of competitions participated in, and a great many crescents earned for his efforts, Xan has shown he is still has what it takes. That skill he has used to help other members grow themselves, encouraging the new kids on the block, and helping them learn the ropes, especially with things like JA.

Xan has waited a long time for this one, and I am thrilled to request his advancement on to the rank of Equite III. Congratulations Xan! Drinks are on you!

Since his last promotion, Xan has participated in 97 competitions, (co)organized 13 competitions, passed 18 Shadow Academy courses, earned 4 Dark Side Degrees, logged 12 PvP Matches, submitted 9 PvE Activities, and penned 1 Fiction Activity. In that same amount of time, he has collected a myriad of personal awards: a Grand Cross, a pair of Anteian Crosses, 242 Clusters of Fire, 10 Clusters of Ice, 227 Clusters of Earth, 41 Crescents (1 Cr-D, 1 Cr-R, 3 Cr-A, 6 Cr-S, 12 Cr-E, 15 Cr-T, 3 Cr-Q), a Seal of Loyalty, a Seal of the Crusader, 21 Seals of Affliction, 5 Seals of Destruction, 6 Pendants of Blood, 5 Legions of the Scholar, a Seal of the Master, and 2 Bronze Novae. Xan Phraz-Etar has been a renowned beacon of hope and of leadership in the DJB. His service to it’s members and to it’s leadership have given rippling effects that impact many. He has (co)organized 13 gaming competitions for the betterment of the clan’s GMRG society, inputting detail and creativity in each competition he provides. He also provides counselling, mentoring and tutoring in the gaming world of our clan which requires hours of effort, patience, and encouragement. And not once has he asked for a single thing in return for his service - a truly selfless member of House Excidium and Clan Scholae Palatinae.

Since his last recognition, Xan has participated in 37 competitions, (co)organized 13 competitions, submitted 12 PvP Matches, logged 9 PvE Matches, passed 7 Shadow Academy courses, and earned 2 Dark Side Degrees. In that same time, he has collected a myriad of awards: 9 Crescents (1 Cr-D, 1Cr-A, 2 Cr-S, 3 Cr-E, 2 Cr-T), 6 Pendants of Blood, 132 Clusters of Fire, 54 Clusters of Earth, 1 Legion of the Scholar, 1 Seal of Loyalty, and 1 Seal of the Crusader. In addition, Xan now serves as a valuable resource for the young members of House Excidium as a Gaming coach. He takes time out of his schedule to find resources, information, and provide guidance to members on the approved games in the Brotherhood. Just the other night, I watched him assist several junior members of our Battle Team Tacitus Athanasius load their software and get on the server for the first time. He even took the time to show them some basics and familiarize them with the game - a staple of Brotherhood Gaming for decades. He also has created a handbook to show - step by step - how to login to the multiplayer, get on the server, and start a duel. While it might seem silly to older members, this resource has helped our non-gamers through the struggles of familiarizing themselves with the screen shots provided. In addition, he recently hosted CSP: Gamers Unlocked - a competition that really highlighted gaming in a new, different way than Scholae Palatinae has interacted with in the past (the traditional cluster races).
