Since his reappearance from Rogues to Clan Exar Kun/Clan Plagueis and his recent work in Clan Scholae Palatinae - Xan has stood above his gaming peers in a great many ways - but he has not flaunted this fact either. While his tactics are marvelous, he has offered to teach a great many of gamers in his strategy, often improving his foe's abilities, he has done this without reward or complaint. As it is his fun-loving nature to do [Meet and Train fellow gamers], and slowly he has built friendships and amassed over 200 CFs in his efforts.
It is my hopes that more gamers will continue to look at Xan and say, "I wish I could be more like him." For if the DJB was populated with just, impartial gamers like young Xan we would be the most efficient, deadly gaming unit in the world. He is a role model as an Apprentice, a member and a gamer! For this he deserves his first merit medal that will shine upon his previous accomplishments of gaming, trials, community presence and excellency within the Brotherhood. ~ Braecen Isradia

NOTE FROM CHI LONG:
I also agree with this recommendation whole-heartedly. Xan is shaping up to be a great member for both the Clan and the DB. - Chi Long
Completion of the Trials of Power.
Since I took Xan as an Apprentice I truly believe he has found his way in the mix of things DB related. Before he was disinterested and I thought he might fall out of the loop, but he has certainly proved me wrong! He zoomed through his first trials with a great amount of zeal and redoubled his efforts to complete the following tasks: Read and Understand the 'Wisdom of Plagueis' (Crucial for future Mentors), Compete in 2 competitions (ICTE, ICTE and Sunday Tourney - Big time gamer!), Write a fictional story (A good read about construction of a lightsaber and a trip to a snowy planet - doubly impressive from an Obelisk!), Gained 64 CFs since his last promotion, Leadership Applications (So he knows how to apply to those big time jobs like Sgt.)! Couple this all with his IRC presence and I believe we have a future pillar of the DB Gaming Community!
It is with great honor I nominate this Jedi Hunter to the rank of Dark Obelisk Knight and grant him his rights to a lightsaber ~ Braecen Isradia

Firstly allow me put forward Krath Priest Braecen (former PCON) and Master of Xan.
Completion of the Trials of Power.
Since I have taken Xan as my student and pupil, I have found that teaching is a great deal about learning. From this Apprentice and another special one I remember why we include the long blurb in our missions statement: Encourage all members to work with high moral character. From the Grand Master to the lowest Apprentice, the Dark Brotherhood will be a place for all to reside without undue politics and harassment. Members like Xan suffer no loss of High Moral Character. In truth, he defines it... Most recently he has completed the following feats: 3 page history (building his character's depth), short fiction (A tremendous tale about the chase for JM Shreeve), he has competed in the Sunday Tourney (30-1) and amassed a total of 94 CFs...
I believe that this member has outgrown his current rank and responsibilities... I nominate Xan to the rank of Jedi Hunter. ~ Braecen Isradia
I agree entirely with Braecen's assesment of his student. I know Xan through my contact on mIRC and he is a dedicated and friendly member of our illustrious order. His committment, combat talent and his interest in learning through the Shadow Acadamy are clear indications of his ability and promise.
Congratulations Xan, and keep up the good work.
