Even with the long awaited release of the new Lightsaber Guide was published to the website, many questions remained unanswered over the months following its implementation. For all its graphical craftsmanship and the clear passion and energy that was put into the creation of the Guide, there was a significant need for a more streamlined documentation to help members of the Brotherhood pinpoint details of the varying Lightsaber forms in their combat writing for the ACC (and other writing forms as well!). For this reason, the Lightsaber Combat Guide 2.0 was initiated as a 2-3 week project. The Final results of this project can be seen as the newly minted Lightsaber Forms Wiki article.

Shi Long (Sai, Afro', Stud Muffin Extraordinaire, etc.) was the head architect on the recently published LSG project. So to have his assistance and aide on LCG 2.0 was a pleasure and wonderfully helpful. Shi was able to take the 80-so pages of information and help me parse through, pear down, and isolate the key pieces of information needed for the Lightsaber Forms page. While this might seem like an easy task, Shi's knowledge of the source material cut down hours of additional work I would have had to take in the drafting process, and the project simply would not have been completed in as timely a manner as it had been. Shi was able to isolate notable characters who were known to use each form, filtered which ones could use what type of grip and type(s) of sabers, as well as key words that members could use when writing the form.

For his assistance over the course of this project, and his expert knowledge, I proudly award this medal as a token of thanks. Thank you, Afro, for coming in to help me out in an hour(s) of need. It is appreciated.

The Day of the Fox celebrates the ascension of Grand Master Firefox to the Iron Throne by recognizing the dedication and loyalty of our membership. This tradition has historically honored a select few of our members by awarding them the Seal of Loyalty. This Day of the Fox, like many other Dark Brotherhood traditions, will be altered slightly this year.

Some projects take longer than expected. Real life gets in the way, vendettas get in the way, sometimes even having too big of a staff gets in the way as people fall off the map, leaving work to be done that they promised and didn't deliver. This is how some big projects get mired down. With every passing month, the project seems further and further away, and people's expectations for it continue to grow. It takes a lot of dilligence, a lot of perseverance to push past those interruptions and get back into the work, pushing it to the final goal, which is the release. Tsainetomo, or Shi Long, came to me a long time back and started working on a refresh on the Lightsaber combat guide. It was to bring the old guide more current, and do something that the old one didn't: help members actually write their chosen forms. A team was recruited, work doled out, and then edited, presented and then edited again. Sai stood behind this process the whole time, taking the critiques, making the adjustments, wrangling the team, and keeping their collective heads in the game. It was Sai that sent out the constant reminder emails, pushing people to complete their sections. It was Sai that begged for code support. It was Sai who brought the work through the editing process, and it was Sai that pushed all of us to get this out the door. It wasn't easy, but it was important, and it was his steady hand that steered the project to completion. Shi Long came out of nowhere to help Naga Sadow in the Great Jedi War. He earned two Seals of Revelation, and greatly assisted his Runon team in their third place finish in the Runon competition for the Great Jedi War. Although the Runon only required three posts, Shi Long made nine, totaling an impressive 7,960 words. The appended recommendations demonstrate additional ways that he helped his team succeed and finish 3rd in the competition.
