Kalak has done an excellent job in running the trivia on my behalf. He is quick to e-mail me results and he has always found a replacement for himself when he cannot make it, though this is not often. He has sought ways to improve the running of trivia and I will be looking to expand his role in the Shadow Academy in the future.
~DJM Anshar Kahn Tarentae, Headmaster of the Shadow Academy
Kalak Ragnose, as an extension of the Shadow Academy, has been instrumental in organizing and planning the new Knight Commander Competitions for New Membership, which will be rolled out after the beginning of the year. Kalak has been a source of ideas, which never cease to amaze me. It is my honor to recommend Kalak for promotion to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.
~Prelate Lucien Kaeth
Proconsul of Scholae Palatinae
Knight Commander of the Brotherhood
Kalak has been an outstanding member during his time in CSP. He is a constant figure on IRC and is a great influence that all Journeymen and Equites should take a cue from. He is a fireball of activity and a dynamo in his work assisting the HM on SA trivia. His activity for the clan and the DB out shines even our most experienced members. He is more then deserving for this promotion and to wield a Lightsaber. Congrats Kalak!
Also......RevengeX is sexy. Kalak is RevengeX's student. Kalak is sexy.
For being sexy, Kalak needs a promotion.
~Phoenix Olkyssagh d'Tana Palpatine, Consul of CSP
It has been one year since this young Krath joined the Dark Jedi Brotherhood to embark on his own quest to become one of the galaxy's most powerful Dark Jedi. Over the course of one year, this Jedi Hunter has assimilated into the Brotherhood's unique culture and has become part of our Clan's foundation. Without a doubt, I have enjoyed watching Kalak Ragnose's skills and improve in a variety of fields.
Since Kalak's last promotion, he has earned two Clusters of Fire, seven Legions of the Scholar, six Crescents (2 Emerald, 2 Sapphire, 2 Topaz), four Seals of Pain and one Dark Cross for his participation in the Eighth Great Jedi War, and recently earned one of the Brotherhood's most prestigious honors, the Seal of Loyalty. When Clan Scholae Palatinae battled against the Yuuzhan Vong in the "Reclamation of Judecca" campaign, Kalak participated in eleven events and earned 107 points for House Acclivis Draco, the second-most amount of points for an Acclivis Draco Journeyman. Earlier this month, he ran his own competition, "Hunt of Fun", which received five entries - a pretty good turnout for a House-level competition.
During his stay in the battle team Mando'ad Vode, Kalak's suggestion for the team motto ("Comradeship is the way to victory - Consors est via ad victoriam") was chosen officially. This achievement fulfilled his "Battleteam Leader Task" for his Jedi Trials. He even wrote his own Knighting Ceremony as a part of his Trials and this final piece demonstrates his improvement from the previous piece he wrote for me (a 6-page fiction about a training mission). In addition, he attempted qualification for the Antei Combat Center; he was declined entry as a full member, but he learned from this experience, instead of going on a crazy rant. If he attempts qualification again, I am certain that he will pass.
However, the main reason for this promotion is his impressive career as a part of the Shadow Academy's staff. He has served as the Magistrate of the Head Master for nearly six months; which is impressive through itself. But even more impressive is the work he did during this time. Week after week, he ran two Brotherhood-wide trivia competitions on Anshar's behalf, until the Head Master decided to close down the message board trivia event for lack of activity. As a regular participant in his IRC trivia events, I have noted that they run very smoothly and cover a wide variety of topics, from the Star Wars Expanded Universe to the history of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Originally, Kalak was supposed to complete a Clan Summit task, but Consul Phoenix and former Consul Braecen immediately ruled out the idea; running weekly competitions was sufficient.
Kalak was my first student as a part of the Master-Student Program. Without a doubt, he has surpassed my expectations and the other students I took. If every Journeyman was like Kalak... there wouldn't be anyone to pick on because everybody would be doing their work calmly and everybody would have the awesome, cool personality that emanates from his words.
I have written a recommendation for every one of Kalak's promotions and I know that this will continue in the future. Congratulations, Knight, and thank you for being great.
