Mauro Wynter has been an exceptional member, leader, administrator, and project contributor over the course of the last 14 months since his last promotion. During this time period, he has served distinctly as a Battle Team Leader (1 month), Aedile (1 month), and Quaestor (8 months) for Clan Odan-Urr. This leadership tenure carried through a major Rite of Supremacy, where Clan Odan Urr took first place honors. Mauro was honored with an impressive 2 Sapphire Blade’s during this time that cover the deeds and accolades of his time with the Odan-Urr Summit.

As an active member of the Brotherhood, Mauro has participated in 133 total competitions while accumulating 36 Crescents for placement, 92 Cluster’s of Ice as a contributor to the Fiction Society and 98 Clusters of Graphite for the Graphics Society. He earned 2 Dark Side Scrolls as well as a Seal of Loyalty to the club. He organized 15 competitions while assisting with 3 others. These metrics point to a member that has consistently shown activity throughout the entire course of their time in rank. Mauro also distinguished himself as a competitor during RoS: Meridian with 19 Seals of Fury.

Above and beyond his leadership and activity, Mauro has been a diligent member of the Voice Staff as a Magistrate for the last 12 months. Since being hired, his combination of administrative work (character sheet approvals, competitions approvals, working with members on their Character Sheet remands and finalizing fiction competitions for processing) and world-building project work also contributed to his twin Sapphire Blade sacramental awards. His project work includes efforts to improve the clubs fictional background and presence by helping the Regent with the Dark Council fleet, creating and authoring content while formatting and uploading content to the WIki. He’s assisted with creating countless NPC pages and NPC character sheets, which involved writing up custom aspects, building the sheets in the administration and getting them reviewed and published. He continued to be an active participant in Voice Staff policy discussion and review. He has continued to keep on top of the Voice Staff administration queue to ensure members have a quick turnaround on their competitions and character sheets. He retains my trust with handling these administrative tasks, which has continued to free me up to focus on larger things that require my attention. That trust is a key factor to his impact on my staff and how he helps keep the Voice office running like a well oiled machine.

For all of his hard work, contributions, and diligence I believe that Mauro has proven that he deserves to be among the top echelons of equites in the Brotherhood. I am lucky to have him on my staff, and believe he has earned this promotion to Equite 4. Congratulations.

Voice of the Brotherhood

In 2018, I wrote Mauro up for an upper equite promotion and not one but two sacramental awards. That honestly says quite a bit by itself, but it’s worth reviewing a few highlights in addition to the raw numbers Wally mentioned above.

For the first weeks of Mauro’s time as an EQ3, he maintained his streak as one of the most engaged and dynamic battleteam leaders I have ever worked with. I have generally not been the biggest advocate of the BT as a unit in the modern Brotherhood, but I have to admit that even a year and change later I’m still in awe of what Mauro managed to accomplish with Tython Squadron. Tython maintained outstanding participation rates in clan and club events during his tenure as BTL and for long after, including during the Rite of Supremacy. During this period Mauro ran, on his own initiative, a cooperative event with Arcona’s Nighthawk that saw 16 participants.

However, Mauro quickly grew beyond his initial role on the COU summit and rapidly moved up to Aedile and then Quaestor of Satele Shan. He was the sort of leader every CON dreams of: largely self-managing. As mentioned above, Mauro’s personal activity was outstanding and he consistently set a strong positive example for members of his house. During the RoS, Mauro achieved full participation in all three phases, generally within the first 24 hours. This, during a period when RL constraints on his time were beginning to weigh on him. It is very common in multi-phase vendettas for fatigue to set in and participation rates to drop in later phases. COU took first place in Meridian primarily because leaders like Mauro did not let that happen to us.

During his tenure on the house summit, Mauro was a primary content creator. This included two house events, Dominion under his own initiative and Shadow of the Kesaret alongside QUA Maximus Alvinius. Between them, these two events alone generated 77 submissions. Mauro also wrote pages of battleteam and house fiction in addition to what is reflected in his CI count. These narratives ran directly into the clan-wide Tipping Point event, and even as recently as last week COU’s clan fiction has featured plot threads and an original NPC, Slynn Keldra, that Mauro created for us.

Wally mentioned trust, and I can vouch for that: I never had to worry about what Mauro was or wasn’t doing. I never had to worry about how he was treating our members or where his priorities were. It’s hard enough to find a member that reliable, or a member as effective as Mauro was, and it’s a small miracle when you can stumble across a member who is both.

Congratulations on your promotion, man, and thanks again for everything you’ve done for Odan-Urr and the Brotherhood.

Mauro is a unique individual in this club and someone I’ve had the pleasure to work with during my time as PCON. Archenksov already covered a lot but I’d like to say a few things myself. When I think of Mauro the word trust does come to mind but also the word dedication. Everything he did, he did fully and to completion with 110% effort. If something needed to be done, he led from the front and did so well. Whether it be Satele Shan or his creation Tython, he will always have an immeasurable impact on Odan-Urr and he is very much missed. In particular, he did some great wiki work, always making sure his pages were up to date so that his members had all the fictional ammunition they needed. Another thing that comes to mind is his amazing support during clan efforts, where he was an excellent member and participated in every event as well as encourage others to do the same. In short, he was a special member of Odan-Urr and I fully endorse his promotion to an EQ4! Congratz, Mauro!!!
