Pollus Paratus AKA James is one of Clan Plagueis’ more visible and vocal members. He returned to from the Rogues about the same time I did and since then, there has been none more constantly present on the clan Telegram chat than James. With his broad variety of wit and insight, no matter the topic, he holds up as one of the most widely known members of the clan. His welcoming and inquisitive nature is one of the many things that makes Clan Plagueis feel like my home in the Brotherhood. The impact this has on all our clan's members is invaluable.

Aside from his communicative qualities, James has also proven to be one of the more active Plagueians since his return. In total since his last promotion, he has participated in 41 competitions and earned 11 crescents (1 Diamond, 4 Ruby, 1 Amethyst, 2 Sapphire, 2 Emerald, and 1 Quartz) and 2 Seals of Decimation from Great Jedi War X. As a gamer, he has 10 PvP activities and has earned 70 Clusters of Fire and 135 Clusters of Earth. As a fiction author, he has written a total of 1,301 words which earned him 2 Clusters of Ice. To round out this flurry of activity, he has also been a dedicated student at the Shadow Academy, completing 10 courses as well as 2 Dark Maven degrees in both Leadership and Philosophy.

In addition to his excellent individual activity, James has made steps to make the clan a more enjoyable place in a more administrative capacity. He's recently run 3 clan-wide competitions with good member turnout and a fourth one he ran during his time as Aedile in Independent House Revan. Additionally, his past service to the club with Fremoc earned him a Dark Cross. Combined with his more recent Anteian Cross, awarded for his excellent activity since returning, he has demonstrated the impressive qualities that today make me proud to recommend his promotion to Equite 1.

The first thing that springs to mind when I think about James is definitely Telegram. He’s been incredibly active ever since I’ve known him, and always has something to add to a conversation, or wake everyone up if it gets too quiet. I know that I enjoy the interactions I’ve had with him there. Whether it’s just a silly topic or a question someone throws out there, he’s always ready to reply and add his thoughts, and I think that’s a very important thing in Telegram. What would the point be without people willing to interact and get to know their clan? It doesn’t matter what the topic, he’s there and ready to participate.

On another note, it’s also wonderful to have him in the clan in general! As a Merc, he adds a fun diversity to a group that has a top percentage of sith and dark jedi. We have lots of examples for those, but less for the people who would be interested in other paths. That’s where James comes in. He’s there to show that even if the clan is mostly Sith, the Mercs are there and proud of it.

All in all, James is a fun person to talk to and we’re a stronger clan with him in it!
