Entry into the Equite ranks is often considered even more of a milestone than earning ones lightsaber, since to achieve the right to become an Equite requires a true dedication and greater efforts. Thusly it is a rank many never reach because they lack the conviction and perseverance to do the work needed. It is my pleasure today to present Yzarc Rellik Kaeth for elevation to the rank of Obelisk Templar.
Since attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, Yzarc has seldom stood still in his activities. He held the position of House Envoy for Caliburnus, and now holds the position of Aedile. In this capacity he combines the duties formerly performed by the House Envoy, with the more demanding duties of Aedile since we no longer have a specific Envoy for the House. This means he is constantly in touch with new members, emailing them with vital information to help ease their transition into the Clan and House. He is frequently emailing the House with reminders of competitions and events, he produces a weekly email highlighting Star Wars news, and helps to guide journeyman in their paths towards Dark Jedi Knight.<br>
Not once has Yzarc backed down from any challenge I have placed before him as weve worked together to build House Caliburnus into the formidable force it is becoming. He has been invaluable as my sounding board for project ideas, competition ideas and house direction ideas. He has helped with planning the content for several upcoming House wiki pages, as well as planning upcoming changes for the House Caliburnus Website. His ability to inspire and encourage members, and his insight and vision have made him a partner I count on heavily in making the House run smoothly. I know that I can count on him to handle things if my schedule doesnt allow me time to get online.<br>
Yzarc has always sought to help improve the House, making it a fun and welcoming place for all members. He was involved in helping to plan and run Deadly Deceptions, the four week long House event, as well as running or providing the ideas for several smaller competitions such as HC Artillery Training, he has also been the willing researcher to help cross reference various sources to make sure our many ideas are reasonable within the Brotherhood and Cannon timeline.<br>
Yzarc does not neglect his own personal activity either; during the span of time since his last promotion he has taken History of the Sith Empire II. He also has participated in several competitions, including Krath's Tome, CSP Winter Games, I Has a Bunny and Some Bells, Ward of the South Trivia, CSP Reclamation, CSP All-Stars, ICTE and gaming nights. This activity has earned Yzarc many awards for his efforts: 2 DCs, 1 Cr-A, 3 Cr-S, 1 Cr-E, 4 Cr-T, 2 Cr-Q, 2 LSs, and 21 CFs.<br>
In all, Yzarc has truly cemented himself within the Clan and House as a solid and dependable member who strives to put those around him before his own ambitions, the mark of a true, dedicated leader, and it has been my privilege and pleasure to work with him these last few months and I look forward to many more ahead. I believe that Yzarc has more than earned his entrance into the Equite ranks and the rank of Obelisk Templar. Congratulations Zarc!!

His name may be crazy backwards, but there is little about Yzarc I would find odd or out of place. Rather the contrary, Yzarc is the very model of a perfect DB member. He thinks of his Family, House, and Clan before himself, exerts himself where it is not typically needed; provides a source of humor and comical relief to his Family and Summits, and goes out of his way to help others. The effort that Yzarc puts forth to welcome, train, and mentor and befriend new members is one I wished all Envoys put forth. He exemplifies the Envoy tenet, putting the good of many before the good of the few. He is quick in his responses to new membership and keeps them apprised of what it is that they need to do in order to be promoted. Yzarc does all this without being poked or prodded into doing his job.
As Aedile of House Caliburnus, Yzarc has been instrumental in the creation, running, and judging of all the many competitions for Caliburnus. His competitions are fun, creative, and spur the membership into activity, which is what we should all ask of the AEDs of our Houses. He has since taken upon himself to bring the entire Clan up to speed on recent Star Wars news and notes and did so without being asked.<br>
Yzarc Rellik Kaeth is the very epitome of what this club should look for in a quality member and it is my honor to recommend him for promotion to the rank of Templar. Welcome to the Equites Yzarc!

The elevation from Dark Jedi Knight to Equite is a pivotal moment in every Dark Jedi's career; especially when it concerns a member of Zarc's caliber. He has been instrumental in the transition of Aediles in CSP becoming the first level of contact with new members. And today we honor him as a member and leader with this promotion.<br>
In the past five months, Yzarc has collected eleven (11) crescents (Cr-A, 3 Cr-S, Cr-E, 4 Cr-T, 2 Cr-Q), earned twenty one (21) Clusters of Fire, been awarded two Legions of the Scholar and been granted two Dark Crosses for his assistance on major Clan Projects. He has also completed History of the Sith Empire II at the Shadow Academy. What is more impressive is his submission count within the Brotherhood, where he has submitted to over thirty competitions at the Clan level since his last elevation and participated in a variety of Brotherhood events: Gaming Nights, Monthly Topics, ICTE. In addition, Zarc serves as both an Aedile and Envoy for his House since his last eleavation.<br>
As a leader, there are no finer examples of young upstarts. Yzarc compiles Weekly reports (every week) that discuss the activity of his House and the importance of that necessary activity. He also sends out a weekly Star Wars News report that brings attention to Star Wars related things happening outside of the Brotherhood. Many members have found this intriguing and useful, creating a new dynamic for his House & Clan to stimulate discussion and club enjoyment. He also sends a weekly reminder for ICTE, stimulating his Clan into activity. As the Envoy, Yzarc fields hundreds of questions and is responsible for sending three letters to every new member that discuss clan hierarchy, communication and activities. Beyond this, he is in constant contact with the members of his House and encourages them to participate in the competitions hosted by himself and his Quaestor. He has been instrumental in helping run a major House competition (Deadly Deceptions) as well as many smaller competitions. He also served as a rallying point for the House in the final weeks of the Reclamation Campaign. In short, there are few members that can provide his level of impact at the AED position.<br>
It is my belief that he has surpassed the expectations of simple Knighthood. His activity is down a bit, but I have addressed this issue with him and he is working to make an immediate change in his behavior. This shift came with his added responsibilities as a leader, where he became wholly focused with his members and their projects. He has aided us in the Clan Dominion Project, assisted on the Paths Project, provides constant moderation in #scholae & #caliburnus, monitors the Message Boards and participates in House Run-Ons, delivers highly polished proposals and recommendations when asked, and has provided considerable effort in helping with the maintenance of his House and Clan while others have been tasked elsewhere.
For service to House and Clan, and therefore the Brotherhood, I am honored to elevate Yzarc to the first tier of the Equites for his considerable skill and ability as a leader within Clan Scholae Palatinae. Also, here is the list of things he has done.<br>
Deadly Deceptions: created 3 of the events used, and helped judge half of the events upon the conclusion.

House Dominion: offered input to improve and add to the dominion document, expanding on the work started by Thran.

House Facilities: assisted in editing and proofreading, personally wrote 6 of the 34 pages in the document.

House Website: Project still in progress, but he is helping to rewrite and reorganize the house website (at least 10-20 pages)

House Wiki: Rewrites in progress, Yzarc is assisting in helping to rewrite the House Caliburnus page, the House Prospectus page, the Souls of Darkness page, as well as helping in the massive undertaking of wikifying the Facilities document (34 pages) and the Dominion document (15+ pages)

Ran the HC Artillery Training Competition.

Co-ran the following competitions: I had a bunny and some bells, Into the Storm (as well as posting in the Runon), Furry Emergency, Soul of the Warrior, Ptolomea Wildlife, Star Wars Quotes Quiz and Song Lyrics Challenge. For the last two, he was responsible for keeping the spreadsheet of points earned by members who participated in order to determine the winner.

He's handled promotion and award recommendations for several journeymen ranked members to allow me to focus on larger issues. Also he has contributed to recommendations for higher level promotions or awards.

Performs Envoy duty in emailing new members and helping them with questions. He also helps in making sure that the House mailing list is up to date.
