In the style of Housman's "When I Was One-and-Twenty," catalectic iambic tetrameter on the odd lines and iambic trimeter on the even ones.

Rakatan arms did forge the stone,
A weapon built of woe.
Desired it will ever be,
For they have made it so.
A humble rock it seems to be,
And never you suspect
That as you seek a golden ship
You only find a wreck.

The Sith and then their rivals came,
Both seeking fabled prize.
All those who entered temple depths
Could not believe their eyes.
Desired One had called them there,
A place where life should thrive.
Ironic was their fate indeed,
As not a one survived.

Alliterative verse in the Anglo-Saxon style. A full write-up can be found at http://alliteration.net/fieldgd.htm, but these are the basics:

* Lines broken into two halves
* Each half has two dominant beats (lifts) formed from stressed syllables with a variable number of weak syllables (dips) rounding it out
* In each line, the first lift in the first half-line alliterates with the first lift in the second half-line
* Vowels are considered to alliterate with each other

Alliterative verse does not traditionally use stanzas, so I've simply broken the text into four discrete chunks covering the four pillars of the Sith Code.
