The Gauntlet: Fiction

Across the Galaxy many cultures venerate death, others unity and family, throughout Kiast and the reaches of the Nilgaard sector, however, the aspects of many diverse cultures and lifestyles are celebrated, the hard-won fights for many's independence, those lost, and those still fighting for the right of culture to flourish. Beginning with Vatali celebrations of the Lunar New Year and ending with a celebration of new life as the first Lotus shoots of the year arrive and Spring is welcomed.

This celebration, an amalgamation of celebrations for those whose celebrations were lost during the great upheaval, or for those who knew little of their origins, was born of the Jedi Praxeum and the Vatali Empire recognizing the all-encompassing aggregate that had formed throughout Nilgaard and Kiast in the wake of the exodus and the Jedi Temple's resettling. While many cultures still had strong social ties, others had lost theirs to time, displacement, or dispersion, and the consensus between the Temple had been to serve a balance and promote heritage throughout their reach. Ceremonies and traditions uncommon across the Galactic Center are uplifted and displayed, remembered alongside the struggles of years past, when the Lotus was more than a simple plant, but a force that fought for the Survival of the downcast.

Activities:

• Participants are given tickets (points) for each activity they join during the Celebration.
• Participating in an activity will grant 1 ticket while placing 1st will grant 10 tickets, 2nd 8 tickets, 3rd 6 tickets, and 4th 4 tickets
• The greatest amount of tickets at the end wins the month-long competition. Potential ties will be broken by who has the most overall placements.
