Tarvitz was written from the very start to be a highly militant character. Even before the suggestion of making him a Jensaarai was brought up (thank you again for that, Wally) the core idea behind the character was always going to be that of a questing swordsman. Someone following a single great task in their life, heading into dangerous lands to recover something of great value lost to the world, but nevertheless readily stepping in to help defend others if the situation arose. "Knight Errant" wasn't so much a general aspect as a starting point for the character to branch out from and to be adapted into the setting from.

From a character perspective I personally feel that of all the histories, orders and societies which exist within the Jedi, the Guardian is likely the only one Tarvitz would feel any willingness to follow. The core ideals and modus operandi ultimately reflect what he would wish for the Jensaarai to eventually become, or at least make steps towards becoming on a wider scale, and it would be an opportunity for him to learn more of the Jedi themselves. If anything he would try to follow it to better understand the allies he has pledged himself into following, and to perhaps attain better knowledge of their ways, given how little he has recovered of Jedi Order texts over the years.

Tarvitz is one of those members who rocketed up to Knight within three months of joining. While we do love those members, it's not uncommon for them to falter after the novelty of the club wears off and they no longer have a specific checklist of promotion requirements to tick off. As the numbers will attest, Tarvitz did not have that problem. Since reaching knighthood, he's organized 6 competitions and participated in a total of 80 spanning every type except for art. He's a prolific writer, having earned 46 Clusters of Ice from just shy of 20,000 words of fiction and one ACC match. Equally active as a gamer, Ka's 74 PvP matches and 19 PvE activities have netted him 2 Pendants of Blood, 514 Clusters of Fire, and 42 Clusters of Earth. As a scholar, he's earned a Dark Savant in Warfare and a Maven in Philosophy after completing 10 SA courses. He also received a Scroll of Foundation from Farrin for reporting an error in a SA exam, and a Dark Side Scroll for writing May's featured wiki article. In more general teams, Tarvitz has won 38 crescents, including one with a diamond star and two with ruby stars. He has been awarded with two Anteian Crosses by his QUA, AED, and the RM for his activity and service to Odan-Urr. As Edgar will detail below, Tarvitz has also pitched in to help the House Hoth summit track their members' activity.

Tarvitz immediately became a fixture of COU's Telegram channel for his friendly and helpful conversation, but especially for manners (a typical Tarvitzism from the other day: "Apologies for asking, but is this photoshopped from scratch or was it built atop of a proxy account? Either way it's impressive but I would like to know please."). Tarvitz is the only DB member I can think of who can simultaneously be easy to talk to and sound like he's wearing a top hat and monocle. Although this tendency has lapsed on rare occasions in the past when his intense passion for Star Wars got the better of him, Tarvitz is universally regarded as a pillar of Odan-Urr's community. We're delighted to have him back after a brief hiatus to deal with real life, and I hope that Tarvitz will continue to impress us as he pushes beyond EQ1.

There is no need to rehash Ka Tarvitz's impressive numbers but I would like to speak about his team spirit, drive and his overall thoughtful nature. To say he is one of the politest people I know would be a understatement. He is always there to help out other members of the clan, he is one of the first people to not only volunteer tasks he accomplishes them well before the deadline as well.

One thing Ka has consistently done is offer his assistance in helping me complete my monthly reports on time by volunteering to gather the current news and member achievements for me. This selfless act saves my countless hours and helps to ensure my reports go out in a timely fashion. So this is clearly one of those time where it's my members that make me look good and this is only a small portion of the thank you I owe him.

He is also one of the few members I seen constantly there to help anyone in need either be in his own house or anywhere else. He has on many occasions reached out to me to see if i was doing OK and if he could do anything for me, and it's these moments in which he truly impresses me. He is always there to give me a boost when i need it and he work ethic does help inspire me to do just a little more as well.

Tarvitz, I can honestly say you continually surprise me with you spirit and determination. It inspires me to be a good leader for you and the house and I can honestly say that Hoth would be a much different place without you.

I am more than honored to congratulate you my friend on your promotion to the Equite ranks, this is a much deserved and earned reward for all of your service to House Hoth!

Tarvitz, lots to say about Tarvitz. I can't beat what was said by his QUA and PCON, but I'd like to add a little special touch of my own. Equite ranks mark the moment in time when you start to give back. Since I've arrived in Odan-Urr, Tarvitz has been a constant figure, willing to help others whenever they needed it. He does this without a leadership position and he does it for no other reason besides wanting to help. For his great activity and the help he has shown others, I believe he is more than worthy of this promotion.

Tarvitz is an absolute pleasure to have in Odan-Urr, he's active and a positive presence in our community. He's inquisitive, exceptionally polite and passionate about Star Wars and everything the Dark Brotherhood has to offer. Many outside of COU may only know him from his spirited defense of the expanded universe, but there is so much more to Tarvitz that makes him a true asset to COU.

Passing into the Equite ranks is a right of passage, one that Tarvitz has more than earned as other have already attested to. Congrats!
